DFS Captain / MVP Picks
Kawhi Leonard, LAC
(DK CPT - $15,900, UTIL - $10,600 / FD MVP - $21,600, UTIL - $14,400)
We’re unsure if Kawhi Leonard is going to continue to play through his ankle sprain, but it doesn’t look like it’s bothering him much. He was limited to 31 minutes last game but scored 35 actual, so I assume he’ll continue to play through the injury. Leonard has a 32.5% USG and 1.34 FP/min this year without Bogdanovic, Beal, Paul, and Jones.
James Harden, LAC
(DK CPT - $15,600, UTIL - $10,400 / FD MVP - $20,100, UTIL - $13,400)
It’s a great spot for James Harden to go nuclear, and he could be even more of a must-play if Kawhi Leonard and Ivica Zubac sit out. Harden is coming off a 62 DKP performance and gets the 29th-ranked defense in the league. Harden has a 31.2% USG and averages 1.19 FP/min on the year.
Alex Sarr, WAS
(DK CPT - $13,500, UTIL - $9,000 / FD MVP - $17,400, UTIL - $11,600)
The Wizards' best fantasy asset is Alex Sarr, and it’s not even close. This year, without CJ McCollum, Corey Kispert, and Cam Whitmore, Sarr has a 27% USG and 1.35 FP/min. Sarr’s ability to stretch the floor can definitely cause Ivica Zubac issues. Sarr has a massive ceiling.

DFS Utility Picks
Ivica Zubac, LAC
(DK CPT - $11,400, UTIL - $7,600 / FD MVP - $12,900, UTIL - $8,600)
Ivica Zubac could dominate in this spot. The Wizards have allowed the sixth-most points in the paint, and Zubac is in the top three in the league in paint touches. Washington is also the fourth-worst rebounding team in the league. Everything is trending upwards for Zubac; he just needs to get past the questionable tag he’s been saddled with.
Bilal Coulibaly, WAS
(DK CPT - $10,200, UTIL - $6,800 / FD MVP - $9,000, UTIL - $6,000)
Recently, Bilal Coulibaly has flashed a pretty decent floor/ceiling combination. He’s put up 22.8 DKP as a floor and has shown a 38 FP ceiling over his last five games. He’s going to start and play around 30 minutes, which is a lot for the Wizards because they really don’t extend many players.
Tre Johnson, WAS
(DK CPT - $9,300, UTIL - $6,200 / FD MVP - $7,500, UTIL - $5,000)
The 30 minutes Tre Johnson played last game were the most he’s played since returning from injury, and the kid can flat out score the basketball. He’s offensively gifted, and that’s basically what his fantasy value is attached to. His 26% USG without McCollum, Whitmore, and Kispert is third on the team, and he’s averaging a very solid 1.09 FP/min to boot. Despite the Clippers turning their season around, they’re still 24th on defense. Johnson is a captain candidate to be able to afford 2 or possibly three of the expensive options.Â
Bub Carrington, WAS
(DK CPT - $8,400, UTIL - $5,600 / FD MVP - $7,200, UTIL - $4,800)
I really like the minutes for Bub Carrington despite the fact that he’s coming off the bench. He’s played 29-plus minutes in four straight games and has had 23.8 DKP in each of them while flashing a ceiling of 31.8. With Trae Young still out for Washington, the minutes should simply be there for Bub Carrington here.

DFS Dart Throws
- Justin Champagnie, WAS (DK CPT - $7,800, UTIL - $5,200 / FD MVP - $8,100, UTIL - $5,400) – Elite rebounder. Can pop off the bench. 1.02 FP/min.
- Jordan Miller, LAC (DK CPT - $6,300, UTIL - $4,200 / FD MVP - $4,500, UTIL - $3,000) – 6th man role as he’s played high-20s minutes. Good role, good production.
- Marvin Bagley, WAS (DK CPT - $7,500, UTIL - $5,000 / FD MVP - $5,100, UTIL - $3,400) – Great FP/min player. 1.23 FP/min this year.
- Kobe Sanders, LAC (DK CPT - $4,500, UTIL - $3,000 / FD MVP - $3,900, UTIL - $2,600) – 23-26 minute ceiling with other wings out.
- Will Riley, WAS (DK CPT - $1,500, UTIL - $1,000 / FD MVP - $2,400, UTIL - $1,600) – Punt play of the day. Teens minutes, teens production. Great at $1K.
