NBA Daily Fantasy Picks & Playbook: November 6, 2026

James Grande | @The_Real_Grande | DraftKings and FanDuel main slate

On Friday, we have a seven-game slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Players such as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Cooper Flagg, Jayson Tatum, Tyrese Maxey, and Scottie Barnes take the floor. We don't have any teams on a back-to-back abut there are plenty of injuries to run through in today's NBA DFS playbook.

Before actually diving into the meat and potatoes, welcome to the NBA DFS season. If this is your first time reading our column on NBA DFS picks, I just want to welcome you and give you a few tips and tricks on what you should be looking for each night.

  • News outlets: reliable sources that give us injury news & starting lineups
  • Pace of play: who's playing fast vs. who's playing slow. Which teams get a pace-up spot (more possessions) vs. pace-down (fewer possessions)
  • Usage rates: is a percentage of how many plays that player is being used in

Each game shows the away team first. TOR @ MIL carries the slate's top total. MIN @ NOP has the best pace matchup on the slate. 2 games are also on the schedule but not on this DFS slate. Ranks are league-wide, 2026-27; pace rank 1 is fastest, and off and def rank 1 are best. Green marks a better DFS spot and red a worse one, so a weak defense shades green.

Each player is ranked by salary among every player in that site's file eligible at the position, including multi-position players (1 is the highest priced). Players are compared at a position they are eligible for on both sites; when they share more than one, the position with the bigger gap is shown. Rank Gap is how many spots apart the two ranks are; the greener the cell, the bigger the gap. Better Positional Value is the site where the player has the lower position rank (priced lower among players at the position), regardless of the raw salary, since the two sites use different salary scales.

Top Tier Core Plays

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - PG · OKC

Without Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams this year, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has an amazing 39.6% USG and is averaging north of 1.5 FP/min on both DK and FD platforms. SGA and the Thunder draw the Grizzlies here who rank 10th in pace while OKC is all the way down at 26th. SGA has scored 40+ actual points in b2b games and 60+ FP in each.

Jayson Tatum - SF/PF · BOS

Jayson Tatum has one of the best role's in the NBA. This game really stinks (207.5 implied points, 28th & 30th in pace) so I understand why Tatum isn't going to get any ownership here, but his role stands out. He has a 34.6% USG and is averaging 1.38 FP/min on DK and 1.33 FP/min.

Cooper Flagg - SF · DAL

The whole field is playing Kyrie Irving – and for good reason – but Cooper Flagg's ceiling is much higher than Irving's despite how well he's played. He has 40 minute upside in competitive games, is a triple-double threat, and has a 30.6% USG and 1.36 FP/min on both DK and FD. Utah ranks 24th in DRtg this year.

Jalen Johnson - PF · ATL

The Hawks lead the entire slate in implied team total and it starts with Jalen Johnson. We don't know if he's going to play, but his ceiling is as high as anyone on the main slate. He has a 27% USG and averages a team-high 1.3 FP/min this season. Johnson stands out if he suits up and is getting no ownership.

Mid-Tier Core Plays

Scottie Barnes, RJ Barrett & Immanuel Quickley - PG/SF, SG/SF & PG · TOR

Things are not looking good here considering Scottie Barnes didn't go through shootaround and Immanuel Quickley has been downgraded to questionable, so things are trending towards OUT for two of these three. Without Kawhi Leonard this year, Barnes has a 33.4% USG, Barrett is at 28.2%, and Quickley is at 22.6%. Barnes is at 1.38 DKP, Barrett is 1.12 DKP, and Quickley's at 1.14 FP/min. If one or two of them are out, the Raptors are the best team on the board.

Anthony Davis - PF · WAS

The Wizards leader in basically everything this season is Anthony Davis, but he's questionable so we'll need to see if he's going to play. Davis has a 30% USG and averages 1.3 FP/min to boot, which both lead the team. Atlanta is a top-seven paced team and is 18th in rebounding this season. Davis should take advantage.

LaMelo Ball & Ayo Dosunmu - PG & PG/SG · MIN

If LaMelo Ball can simply stay out of foul trouble, he has an insanely high ceiling. We've seen that multiple times this year. Ball has a 31.1% USG and 1.3 FP/min without Anthony Edwards, but both lead the team. Dosunmu in his own right has been an elite fantasy player without Edwards posting a 23.4% USG and 1.1 FP/min.

Keyonte George & Lauri Markkanen - PG & PF · UTA

I really think both of Utah's top-two options are far too cheap for what their ceilings are. Dallas is 18th in DRtg, which bodes well for Utah to boot. George and Markkanen are both at 1.15 FP/min or better and George is sitting at 30.8% USG and Markkanen's at 24.1%.

Kyrie Irving - PG/SG · DAL

Kyrie Irving's numbers look eerily similar to Cooper Flagg and is $2.5K cheaper on DK and $2.6K cheaper on FD. Irving has a 30.2% USG and 1.34 DKP/min average this season. Irving's minutes have been fantastic in competitive games considering we've seen 35 & 36 over his last two contests.

LeBron James - PF · PHI

I mean, the guy just racks up fantasy points. Straight up racks up stats and fantasy points. Some call him a stat padder, and some call him really good at basketball and fantasy basketball. In fact, he LEADS the 76ers in FP/min at 1.25 and is a 22% USG player on the year to boot. Cleveland is 22nd in DRtg this year and 9th in pace.

Value Tier Core Plays

Kyshawn George - SG · WAS

George really hasn't been impacted by the return of AJ Dybantsa as he's put up 40 DKP in two straight and has played 35+ minutes and 22+ points in those two outings. On the year, he has a 24% USG and averages 1 FP/min on the year. George is a solid play if he continues to play nearly 40 minutes.

Rudy Gobert - C · MIN

I mean, Gobert is just 5.5K and that's why he's getting a boatload of ownership. He's been a FP/min player without Anthony Edwards this year. His inability to score the basketball is the biggest issue with playing Gobert, but in a cup game, it's hard to imagine he doesn't play mid-30s minutes.

Myles Turner & Brayden Burries - C & PG/SG · MIL

These are two pretty good fantasy players as Brayden Burries is at 1.05 FP/min on DK and Myles Turner is at .96 FP/min on FD. Burries' role is interesting because it looks like the Bucks are going to continue to start him but that doesn't mean he'll close over Ryan Rollins. Turner, however, has been awesome recently and has topped 30 minutes in two straight and has 28+ DKP in three straight.

Collin Murray-Boyles - PF/C · TOR

We saw Collin Murray-Boyles move into the starting lineup last time out and was pacing for 30 minutes before the blowout and has now really started playing well over the last two games. His production has been good (1 FP/min) he's just consistently been in foul trouble. The matchup is as good as it gets.

Ryan Kalkbrenner - C · CHA

With Moussa Diabate ruled out, it's likely Ryan Kalkbrenner has the likeliest path to starting and has mid-to-high 20s minutes. He's sub-4K on DK and FD and he's a .9 FP/min on both platforms.
