NBA Game Totals

Top Tier Core Plays

Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers

As long as Joel plays tonight, he is still a top here, and the top play as the Sixers have already ruled out Tyrese Maxey here for this game. With Maxey OFF the court this season, Embiid is carrying a whopping 42% usage, averaging 68 fantasy points, while recording a hefty 1.89 fantasy point per minute.

LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers

Have to love LBJ here tonight now that Davis has already been ruled out for this game. James carries a team-leading 31.4% usage without Davis on the court this season, while recording 1.42 fantasy points per minute. This is a smash spot (as long as he DOES play) against the Hawks in a great game environment.

Trae Young, Atlanta Hawks

Trae could be without Murray and Hunter here tonight against the Lakers at home, and if so, this is an absolute smash spot for him, as well. Young is coming off back-to-back 54+ fantasy point efforts and the Lakers are coming in limping tonight.

Jalen Brunson, New York Knicks

Brunson put up roughly 50 fantasy points last night on the road against Charlotte and should do even better here tonight against a Jazz team that should be able to compete a little bit. The Knicks are set to be without Julius Randle for nearly two weeks, and with Randle OFF the court this season, Brunson is hoisting a 1.27 fantasy point per minute, while carrying a 31.3% usage rate. He is fresh off two 50+ fantasy points games, and this is an excellent match up on his home floor.

Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics

Tatum gets a fast-paced environment here as it looks like Haliburton SHOULD be able to take the floor here tonight. This game has a massive total, much like the Lakers and Hawks game, and should see plenty of possessions. The Celtics are decent sized favorites, so that is my only concern, however, this game should be good for fantasy purposes. Tatum just decimated the Pelicans at home in his last game out to the tune of 60 fantasy points.

Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors

Curry gets to do his thing tonight against a non-conference foe in the Sixers, who could be without both Embiid and Maxey here tonight. If they are BOTH out, I would be more prone to using Curry only in tournaments. However, he has been great lately, coming off of five-straight contests of 42+ fantasy points.

Mid-Tier Core Plays

Pascal Siakam, Indiana Pacers

Siakam in settling in nicely with his new team, going for 61, 50, and 39 fantasy points over his last three games. If the Pacers want to stay in this game, both Haliburton and Siakam will likely have to put in some major work here. Siakam's price isn't the best, but if this game does stay close, he should have a real nice game.

Lauri Markkanen, Utah Jazz

Not often the Jazz get to play in MSG, so I fully expect their best player to come out swinging. I really like Lauri to bounce-back nicely here after the Jazz went to Brooklyn last night and got ripped a new one, where Markkanen only recorded 26 fantasy points. The Knicks are hurting in the frontcourt, so Lauri should be able to take advantage here.

Jaylen Brown, Boston Celtics

Brown has played in four meetings so far this season vs the Pacers, and in those four games he is averaging roughly 40 fantasy points. The Celtics may be without a slew of players including Kristaps and Horford, so once again he may be called on to take on more of the load again tonight. He did put up a 50-fantasy point game last time out against the Pelicans in a similar situation.

DeMar DeRozan, Chicago Bulls

Who doesn't love a good narrative! We get the Raptors coming to United Arena tonight to take on their old teammate in DDR here. DeRozan has played really well lately with LaVine out of the line up, as he has recorded 49+ fantasy points in four of his last five, with all five exceeding 34 fantasy points.

Nikola Vucevic/Coby White, Chicago Bulls

I do like even a pairing of both DeRozan with both Vuce and Coby White here tonight. All three of these guys have excellent match ups here tonight as the Raptors are decimated with injuries currently. Vucevic has eclipsed at least 33 fantasy points in seven-straight contests leading into tonight. White has been excellent lately as well, as he is more worried about facilitating and scoring with Caruso carrying more of the defensive duties for this backcourt. White has recorded 36, 38, and 59 fantasy points over his last three games.

Jalen Johnson, Atlanta Hawks

Johnson could be in for another strong performance here if the Hawks do happen to be missing Murray and Hunter. Jalen is playing big minutes with this starting unit and also getting a ton of usage, and that could significantly increase if Murray sits. Regardless, Johnson will still get heavy minutes, and has recorded 38+ fantasy points in his last four of five contests.

Value Tier Core Plays

D'Angelo Russell, Los Angeles Lakers

Really like D'Lo's price here tonight against this Hawks team. Russell has played extremely well lately, almost like he is playing for trade value? Either way, we will take it and we will look to play him here again tonight in this lovely game environment without Davis as well. Russell is carrying a 25.4% usage rate and a modest 1.07 fantasy point per minute without AD on the floor so far this season.

Collin Sexton, Utah Jazz

Sexton has put up a couple dud games in two of his last three, but it was due to blow outs. The Knicks are decent favorites here tonight, but I feel the Jazz will come to play and Sexton sees his usual minutes. Even with those two rough games, Sexton has accrued at least 33+ fantasy points in eight of his last ten games played.

Tobias Harris, Philadelphia 76ers

Choosing to go with Harris in this matchup vs the Warriors compared to playing Derrick White at merely the same price. The Sixers got the doors blown off them in their last game in Portland with them missing their big pieces, and we could very well see that here again tonight if Embiid also sits. Either way, have to play the spots and Harris sees a massive usage bump with Maxey out, and if Embiid happens to sit, even more so.

Kelly Oubre, Philadelphia 76ers

Another Sixer here in play is Oubre, who is coming off a nice game of 34 and 42 fantasy points in the Sixers' last two games without their studs. Someone on this Sixer team will soak up the usage and recently it has been Oubre.

Bogdan Bogdanovic, Atlanta Hawks

If Murray sits, Bogdan will be in a even larger spot here, but even so, he is coming off back-to-back 38 and 40 fantasy point efforts against the Mavericks and Raptors in the Hawks last two games. Not only that but he is playing 28+ minutes a night and this game has the highest total on the board currently. Has to be in play.

Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors

Really don't mind the slight price hike on Draymond as it seems his minutes limit has been lifted after he saw 46 big minutes last time out against the Lakers in route to I believe a season high 52 fantasy points. Green can do it all, and it seems he is fully back in the fold here.

Alex Caruso, Chicago Bulls

Caruso again will be doing most of the defensive dirty work, but if he can put together some shots along with some boards, he can put up a decent fantasy performance. Caruson has recorded at least 25+ fantasy points in six of his last seven games played.

Donte DiVincenzo, New York Knicks

DDV played 42 big minutes in last night's game vs CHA and put up 47 fantasy points of 10/22 shooting with 28 points, six boards, five dimes, and a block. The 22 FGAs is pretty significant and with the Knicks hurting for scorers, I feel that DiVincenzo will look to help out in that regard once again here tonight.

Precious Achiuwa, New York Knicks

Precious has seen 31 and 33 minutes in the Knicks last two games and should continue to see good run, starter minutes at that, with Randle on the shelf. He hasn't exactly been a top performer for fantasy, but if he is going to get 30+ minutes, there will be ample opportunities against a Jazz team that has struggled in the frontcourt to defend at times.

Jarred Vanderbilt, Los Angeles Lakers

Vanderbilt got tossed early last game after just seven minutes into the game against the Rockets. However, prior to that game, Vandy had played 25, 27, and 41 minutes while putting up 33, 30, and 40 fantasy points. The Lakers are without Davis tonight, so he will be needed even more.

Christian Wood/ Max Christie, Los Angeles Lakers

Believe both of these guys should see extended run here tonight as the Lakers are down Davis and Reddish. Rui also should get minutes, but I believe Wood has the most upside, and obviously with the Hawks running Capela as a starter, they will need someone with size to match up somewhat and that should be Wood. The Lakers likely will possess the most value tonight.
