The Bet of the Day came through as we went back to The Well after a bad performance, and Nikola Vucevic delivered on his threes and rebounds in the same game parlay. Karl-Anthony Towns got nowhere near his rebounding line as that game went as predicted, Towns did not play the end of the fourth quarter.

Tyrese Maxey did not get off the hook on his point line, and despite scoring 30 points was not the leading scorer. That’s okay, because Meatloaf was still served for the second day in a row. ‘Two out of Three Ain’t Bad’, especially so when the predictions are plus odd wagers.

There were seven scheduled games today, but due to the natural disaster California is currently experiencing, San Antonio versus Los Angeles Lakers and Charlotte Hornets versus the Los Angeles Clippers have both been postponed.

Parlay Prediction: DET, PHX Moneyline (-134 on Bet365) *Bet of the Day

The Detroit Pistons are enjoying their best season since signing Head Coach Monty Williams. The combination of young talent, wise veterans, and tough defense has the Pistons at 19-19, and winners of eight of their last ten games. They host the Toronto Raptors who are struggling to produce offense, and against a tough team, could score less than 100 points again.

The Phoenix Suns have the largest predicted spread of the night, more than doubling the next closest team, with -11 points. They are hosting their neighbors, the Utah Jazz, in the first match of the day, 5:10 PM ET. Both of these teams are terrible, and have lost seven of their last ten games. 

They also have similar points per game, and points differential. The difference is that Phoenix has won eight more games this season than Utah, and has a much healthier roster. Their stars will need to help deliver in games they should win. Both teams are currently out of the play-in, but the Suns are only four games back from fifth place in the tightly contested Western Conference. 

Put a unit on this two fold parlay at decent odds, as Fantasy Alarm anticipates the better teams to win.

 

 

 

Jazz vs Suns Prediction: Devin Booker Over 7.5 Assists (-130 on Bet365) *2.0 Units

Devin Booker will be needed to help get the Suns back in the playoffs. Phoenix has experienced one injury after another over the past three seasons, but that is a risk a franchise takes when building a nucleus of older players. Booker is not necessarily old, but is a veteran coming back from an injury.

Since coming back he has been the center of everything the Suns do offensively. He has attempted 15 or more field goals in all games since returning, and oftentimes attempts over 20. Despite that he is still finding open teammates for high percentage field goals. 

Even with several field goal attempts, Booker has 9 or more assists in every game since his return. He has three games with double-digit assists, and perhaps the starting lineup change has been beneficial for the Suns offensive numbers. 

The Suns are 11-8 in ‘The Valley’ and Booker should earn over eight assists today. It was tempting to build a ladder but a double unit on the set line is suggested. Should the Suns be in a blowout scenario it would be unlikely that Booker returns after his break to begin the fourth quarter. Cheer for him to find the mismatches and dish out dimes in the first NBA game today.

They do care about winning, and in-game dunks are spectacular, energy charging events that ignite players, arenas, and living rooms. We can only be hopeful that they both are ready for this game.

In Morant’s one game since returning from injury he attempted 22 field goals and earned 27 points. That was against a tough defensive team, the Houston Rockets. Should he look to be an offensive spark tonight, 21.5 points seems more than achievable. 

At 5:4 odds it is worth the risk on a player that can also get to the free throw line with his aggressive style of play. Put a unit on Morant and hope for several jams, field goals, and free throws.
