Cade Cunningham has been a special player this season, so much so that he is the front runner for the most improved player award. He has been doing it all for the Detroit Pistons, and they are experiencing success for the first time this decade. He is a large reason why and his lines reflect it.

Cunningham has a point line of 25.5, a rebound line of 5.5, and an assists line of 9.5.Those are impressive numbers, especially for a team that is just flipping a switch. When looking at the data, something is off though. Cunningham has 10 or more assists in just one of his last nine games.

Granted the Indiana Pacers allow several assists and points but that is a big jump to take. Even more striking is that his double-double line is at worse odds than his over 9.5 assists. Something is not adding up and this feels like bait.

So instead of taking the sportsbooks bait, let’s set a game script that Cunningham does score over 25.5 points. He would likely have much less assists because he will be the one scoring and you cannot earn assists by giving the ball to yourself

That is the prediction tonight, for the young man to have another great scoring game (he has over 30 points in five of his last ten games) and fall short of 9.5 assists. Put a unit on it. 

 

 

 

Cavaliers vs. Thunder Prediction: Cleveland Money Line (+115 on Bet365)

The Cavaliers are on pace to win 70+ games this season, a mark that puts them in the conversation of best all-time teams depending on their playoff outcome. With that in mind, the bet of this game is on Cleveland’s money line.
