Another two out of three successful bets Monday, and one steal away from a five-leg +750 winner, so close yet so far. There is an amazing slate of NBA games today, in fact, there are fourteen matches, that is all but two teams in the association playing today. The two highlighted games on ESPN are the San Antonio Spurs at the New York Knicks and the Golden State Warriors at the Denver Nuggets. With this many games, there are bets all over the place, and sometimes it can cause a bettor to want to place wagers all over. Don’t do it! Stay disciplined and focused on the goal you set for yourself.

This column is 22/39 and up 3.17 units, not too shabby for two weeks. I also went back and broke ALL my NBA bets down. 39 of 71 bets have been successful or 54.93% on par with the professional pace. 61.2 units have been placed to gain 6 total units. Straight bets have hit on 11 of 21 bets, proposition bets have hit 15 of 22 bets, parlays are 3 of 7, and same game parlays are 10 of 21. There is a ton of data at your disposal if you just TRACK YOUR BETS!

Excluding prop bets, all are positive or negative from 50%. Prop bets are hitting at a 68.18% rate, and for that reason, two props will be offered tonight, along with a money line parlay in plus money in the Fantasy Alarm Best Bets.

NBA Best Bets & Player Props November 8th

NBA Player Props of the Night

Aaron Gordon OVER 6.5 Rebounds (-135 at BetMGM)

The man is on fire! Almost every prop he had against the New Orleans Pelicans Monday hit the over. He earned a double-double and with Jamal Murry out again, he will be asked to shoulder a bigger responsibility. Not a problem for the 2014 fourth overall pick. His game has always been about athletic ability and although the Nuggets have several excellent rebounders, Gordon is a full court, high-energy player.

He has gone over this line in four of his last five games and smashed this line in any game he gets 31 or more minutes. Nikola Jokic has been directing Gordon to play around the rim more, so that he can see the court from the free throw line. This too benefits Gordon with offensive rebounds. Aaron Gordon betting props have been gold this season, and we will ride that Nugget for a winning bet.

Nikola Jokic Triple-Double (+105 at BetMGM)

If there is one player of the 2014 draft class better than the fourth overall pick, it’s the forty-first overall pick Nikola Jokic. The half-decade long question of who would take the throne from ‘King James’ has been asked on every popular sports media… Little did we realize it was quietly passed to N. Jokic 4 seasons ago. The Jokic era is fully underway, and even with a hurt wrist, requiring a soft cast during timeouts, the Pelicans could not slow him down. N. Jokic led a 20 point comeback Monday, earned his 108th triple-double, and did it without the second best player on their team.

A triple-double is one of the most difficult feats in all of sports, and N. Jokic makes it look easy. His triple-double odds went to negative last season, and this could be the last game to get it at positive odds. Jamal Murray won’t be playing again, and N. Jokic will run several point-center plays. He has had 10 or more rebounds in every game, and the assists are the key to this bet. He should get it in the game of the night as more of a facilitator.

NBA Parlay Bet

Money Line IND Pacers & DAL Mavericks (+102 BetMGM)

Coach Rick Carlisle quietly went about winning his 900th game Monday… 900 People! In doing so he became only the 14th coach to do so in the NBA. The Pacers are playing better than several people anticipated, but playing as Fantasy Alarm expected them too. The Pacers are 4-3 and hosting the Utah Jazz who are 2-6 and have not put together a complete game. The Pacers are 6.5 favorites on the spread, and Coach Carlisle’s guards Tyrese Haliburton and Bennedict Mathurin should light it up against the Jazz.

The Dallas Mavericks are off to a 6-1 start which is surprising several NBA experts. Some thought they would pick up where they left off, losing in dramatic fashion. This is not so though, Luka Doncic has come into the 2023-24 season in the best shape of his NBA career and has the Mavs at 6-1. Kyrie Irving has played excellently in the games he has participated in, and the forgotten key player, Tim Hardaway Jr. has been lighting it up with only one game with fewer than 16 points. The Dallas Mavericks are hosting the Toronto Raptors who are 3-4, and in a state of transition.

Outside of Scottie Barnes, very few Raptors have been dependable. They won’t have a defensive answer for L. Doncic as their guards are too small and their forwards not athletic enough. This parlay at plus money with the home teams having large spreads, and this bet just needs a win. That is betting smart.
