The first Meat Loaf in quite some time for Fantasy Alarm NBA Best Bets. Nikola Jokic had three assists in the first four minutes then proceeded to score or rebound the rest of the game. It happens, but we still won over 0.5 units on two out of three bets, ‘..and that ain’t bad’. Today there is a loaded slate of games, ten to be exact, with two nationally televised games on ESPN. Those two games are the Milwaukee Bucks at Cleveland Cavaliers with a 7:30 PM ET start time, followed by the Dallas Mavericks at Los Angeles Lakers, beginning at 10:00 PM ET. There is a prop bet, and a same game parlay on those matches tonight. There is also a match between the Charlotte Hornets and New Orleans Pelicans, and there is a favorable prop bet in that match. In fact it is the Fantasy Alarm NBA Bet of the Night.

NBA Bet of the Night

BETTING LADDER ZION WILLIAMSON OVER:

20.5 -160 DK, 21.5 POINTS -125 MGM, 22.5 -110 DK, 23.5 DK +115

The New Orleans Pelicans host the Charlotte Hornets at the Smoothie King Center where the Pelicans are 12-8. Zion Williamson has been playing much better basketball this season. He is still taking several games off, but when on the court he has been an offensive scoring presence. He is averaging 22.2 points per game, and has nineteen or more points in four of his last five games. The Charlotte Hornets have been one of the worst teams in the NBA this season, have lost five games in a row, and nine of their last ten. The Hornets also allow the fifth most points to opposing power forwards. Z. Williamson along with CJ McCollum have been the scoring options for this team, and Z. Williamson should be due for another high scoring night. A betting ladder is a great option for him, with one ‘rung’ or betting line at 20.5 through 23.5. If you prefer a single prop, Z. Williamson over 21.5 at -125 MGM is recommended.

PROP BET

BROOK LOPEZ UNDER 5.5 REBOUNDS -130 MGM

This has been a Fantasy Alarm favorite this season, but Brook Lopez is rebounding much better lately. He has six or more rebounds in three of his last four games and has forty-seven over his eight games this month. His rebounding line is high, and the competition is tough as the Milwaukee Bucks travel to Cleveland to take on the Cavaliers. Starting Cavs center, Jarrett Allen, has been on a tear with teammate Evan Mobley out. J. Allen’s rebounding line is set at 11.5, and he should surpass it. Giannis Antetokounmpo is the leading rebounder for the Bucks, and his line is at 11.5 as well. A nationally televised game, and G. Antetokounmpo seems to step it up under the primetime lights, which could limit B. Lopez’s defensive rebounding opportunities. The Cavs allow the third fewest rebounds, assists, and fantasy points to opposing centers, while limiting opposing big men to the second fewest points. It is a tough draw for B. Lopez against the underrated J. Allen. Trust an old favorite on the betting line tonight.

SAME GAME PARLAY

ANTHONY DAVIS 25+ POINTS & OVER 12.5 REBOUNDS +106 DK

The second game for ESPN is the match of the night, as the Dallas Mavericks play the Los Angeles Lakers with a 7:00 PM PT tipoff. Luka Doncic is expected back and he always puts on a show when playing against LeBron James. This game is projected to be close as the line started at -2 for Los Angeles but has recently moved to -3.5. This line favors the LA Lakers, despite Dallas having a better record. Both of these teams have lacked consistency, and it reflects in their last ten games and point differential.  Dallas is 6-4 with a +1.6 differential, Los Angeles is 4-6, with a -1.4 point differential. However, the Mavericks have been consistently bad against opposing centers, and rebounding in general. That is the smart angle tonight, as Anthony Davis is one of the best centers of his era. He is listed as probable but should be expected to play at home and after a day’s rest. A. Davis’ rebounding line is at 13.5, and he was a successful bet for NBA Best Bets with a  rebounding line at 12.5 in his last game… but fourteen rebounds are so many. Luka Doncic and LeBron James could have great rebounding nights, and numerous other scenarios, and as mentioned previously, the sportsbooks are really beginning to dial in their algorithms. So his rebounding line has been teased down one, to cover the hook.
A. Davis points have also been teased down 2.5, to cover the chance he does not reach the projected total. He has covered the 27.5 set line four times this month and has a great opportunity to have a better than average game, if not a career type game.Yet to be safe, and boost our return on investment, he has been teased down for both statistics. Dallas allows the second most points and rebounds to opposing centers, and A. Davis is a top five center in the NBA. A teased down same game parlay at positive odds with almost every statistic indicating it could be a great night is a smart bet.
