We’re less than ONE week away from the start of the year, and there are a lot of moving parts in fantasy basketball drafts based on ADP. Preseason performances, roster decisions, and returns from injuries play primary roles in why someone could be soaring up draft boards. We’ve heard coaches from each team tell us something we weren’t necessarily expecting, and that's played a large role in why stocks are on the rise. At the end of each write-up, we’ll talk about whether we like the ADP movement and whether we're comfortable with drafting them or not.

Fantasy Basketball ADP Risers

Zach Edey, Memphis Grizzlies: 58.4 → 50.4

We’ve only seen Zach Edey play in one preseason game, but that one game had him moving up eight spots over the last month. Edey’s been a plus fantasy player when he’s on the floor, especially last year, averaging 13.6 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game in 11 games at 25.8 MPG. Edey has top-10 upside at the center position if he plays a full season this season.

  • Verdict: I’m comfortable buying him at this ADP.

Day'Ron Sharpe, Brooklyn Nets: 81.9 → 71.9

The ADP was bound to change when Day'Ron Sharpe spoke to the media about the expectations of handling a starter's workload, but it’s getting higher and higher as he continues to take the floor in the preseason. He’s done a little of everything on both sides of the ball, and the things that have popped have been the stocks (2-plus in each game), and he has even knocked down a three, something he’s more comfortable taking and looks like he’ll be doing a lot more during the regular season.

  • Verdict: I’m comfortable buying him at this ADP.

Paul George, Boston Celtics: 93.6 → 83.8

Now 36 years old, Paul George is going to try to fill the void left by Jaylen Brown, and this player's ADP is rising big time. Since 2019-’20, he’s played more than 56 games just once, and three times over his last five campaigns he’s played 41 or fewer. George’s age and oft-injured body make it peculiar to see his ADP on the rise. The Celtics also just paid Payton Pritchard a lot of money, and Pritchard could be the team’s second-leading scorer after the leap we saw from him last year. I’m skeptical George pays this number off.

  • Verdict: I’m not comfortable buying him at this ADP.

Ty Jerome, Memphis Grizzlies: 99.1 → 83.8

Nobody’s moving quite like Ty Jerome is moving. He’s MOVIN’ MOVIN’. Over the past month, Ty Jerome has moved nearly 16 spots as more fantasy basketball drafters realize he’s a near nine-category contributor and will likely enter the 2026 campaign as the team’s starting point guard. We saw Jerome, in a limited sample last year, look fantastic as a Grizzly as he averaged 19.7 points, 5.7 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.1 steals across only 22.6 minutes per game. Now, that’s only a 15-game sample, but the team is in rebuilding mode and other than Cameron Boozer, Jerome is the likeliest player on the team to lead the team in scoring if he can stay healthy.

  • Verdict: I’m comfortable buying him at this ADP.

Brandin Podziemski, Golden State Warriors: 109.6 → 101.2

With how everything is breaking around Brandin Podziemski, it’s no surprise to see the ADP on the rise. I’m not sure if it’s panic mode in Golden State, but the vibes are incredibly weird. There are multiple injuries to their roster (Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody), a major illness (Kristaps Porzingis) with no answers to what it is, and two players being heavily relied upon getting up there in age (Stephen Curry and Draymond Green). Then there’s Podziemski and rookie Yaxel Lendeborg. Podziemski just inked a new $110M deal, too, and has been back to his rookie ways of stuffing the stat sheet this preseason.

  • Verdict: I’m comfortable buying him at this ADP.

Darius Acuff, Sacramento Kings: 113.9 → 104.6

You can just tell Darius Acuff has been getting buckets since he was in diapers. He hasn’t slowed down at all in the NBA as he’s taken the preseason by storm. He’s played 27 minutes in both games and has scored 19 and 25 points while averaging six assists per contest. Acuff, who was a lottery pick, will reportedly start this year alongside Ben Simmons this year, which also has helped spike his ADP. By Opening Night, we could see Acuff find himself being drafted inside the top-100.

  • Verdict: I’m comfortable buying him at this ADP.
