Yesterday was rough on the best bets. The Miami Heat upset the Chicago Bulls at the United Center. They won 143-107, and this game was over at halftime. The Utah Jazz were down by four points near the end of the third quarter, but he Thunder put up 77 points in the second half and put this game away. The final score was 144-112 as the Thunder looked to advance out of group stage with point differential as an advantage.

Scottie Barnes only played 30 minutes against the Washington Wizards. The Toronto Raptors destroyed the Wizards, and are the first team to advance from the NBA Cup. Their odds to win the Cup were at +1400 yesterday, they are at +950 today. They are one of the best looking teams in the Eastern Conference.

Remember to join the Fantasy Alarm Discord, specifically NBA DFS+Betting. A +1100 bet was posted to the group, and it was successful. A #FAmily member posted their $300 winner, which came from the NBA DFS show’s advice. The name of the game is winning, and that is what this column is going to do today. There are a mix of start times and games today, and the best bets come from around the clock.

NBA Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 11/22

New York Knicks at Orlando Magic: Saturday, 11/22

Game Time: 5:00 PM ET | TV: League Pass | Location: Kia Center | Odds: ORL - 1.0 | O/U 249.5

Prediction: Orlando -1.5 (-104 FanDuel Sportsbook)

The Orlando Magic host the New York Knicks at the Kia Center for their second game in ten days. The Magic blew out the Knicks in the last game at Madison Square Garden, 124-107. Today they are -1.0-point favorites, and are essentially a pick ‘em. The best bet in today’s game is a -1.5-point spread on the home team.

The Magic were able to beat the Knicks on the road, and although Jalen Brunson is coming off two day’s rest, the Magic should win this game. Orlando allows less points per game (113.1 to 114.9), and are playing well without Paolo Banchero. He injured his groin against the Knicks and is yet to return. The Magic are 4-1 since his injury, and their only loss was an overtime thriller against the Houston Rockets. The Knicks only have one road victory this season, are with OG Anunoby, and are not the same team they were last season. Put a unit on this best bet, and for readers new to FanDuel, make sure to take advantage of the promotional offer below.

Washington Wizards at Chicago Bulls: Saturday, 11/22

Game Time: 8:00 PM ET | TV: Local | Location: United Center | Odds: CHI -12.5 | O/U: 243.5

Prediction: 1st Quarter Total Under 62.5 (-105 on DraftKings Sportsbook

In an expression that has never made much sense, but has a clear understanding, both the Washington Wizards and Chicago Bulls “got their butt handed to them last night”. That is to say they lost in an embarrassing fashion. Washington lost to Toronto Raptors 140-110, and the Bulls lost to the Heat 143-107. Washington had international travel afterwards, with a 7:00 PM local tip-off.

These teams are two of the worst rebounding teams in the league, Washington is dead last and Chicago 26th. They each allow the most points per game in the Eastern Conference, with the Wizards allowing 129.7 points per game and the Bulls at 123.3 points per game. Despite that, the best bet is under 62.5 points in the first quarter. Yesterday was a slate of NBA Cup games, and the box score reflects it. Higher points were scored across the board due to the tie-breaker of point differential. That has thrown off a few total predictions today, including this one.

This best bet has several factors playing into it. Both teams are tired from yesterday, both teams could have players out, bench players starting, and players that have not spent several minutes playing together. 63 points per quarter is 252 points, which is nine points higher than the current total. After allowing a team to score 140 points against you, the emphasis will be on defense. On a quick turnaround, there is little time to coach/scheme anything else. Put a unit on the best bet of 62 points or less in the first quarter.

NBA Prop Bet Today, 11/22

Zach Edey 10+ Rebounds (+114 Draftkings Sportsbook)

The Dallas Mavericks host the Memphis Grizzlies in a Southwest Division thriller. Two five-win teams take center stage at American Airlines Center, in a battle of big front courts. Zach Edey has played three games this season, and he has been held to a strict 25 minutes in each. He started his second NBA season a week ago, and the Grizzlies are being cautious with their 2024 first round pick.

Dallas allows the third-most rebounds per game to opposing teams, with 48.8. Edey’s rebounding line is set at 8.5 rebounds with heavy juice on the over. His alternate rebounding line of 10+ rebounds on DraftKings has a significant difference in odds. One more rebound is not impossible for the 7-foot-4 former Purdue Boilermaker. He recorded 11 boards on the road against the San Antonio Spurs. Earning 10 rebounds against Dallas, who are playing the second of back-to-back nights is not a reach, despite the plus odds. The Mavericks’ game went a full four quarters, with a 118-115 victory too. Put a unit on Edey to earn 10 or more rebounds against Dallas today.
