Another perfect sweep for Fantasy Alarm NBA Best Bets. Three best bets, three winners, and week 11 of the NBA was lucky for us. 15 of 21 bets were successful, and those are rare percentages in the betting world.

Michael Porter delivered once again, and he’s been the largest contributor to our return on investment this season. The Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons went well under the 237.5 points with a 224 total. The Pistons also won the game despite being underdogs, but most importantly, they cashed the double unit hammer. Mark Williams and the Phoenix Suns upset the Oklahoma City Thunder. Williams only logged 6 rebounds, well under the 8.5 line. Over three units were earned in yesterday’s best bets.

Today is the start of week 12. Make sure to check out the Week 12 NBA Injury Report & Waiver Wire Ahead of Week 12 Games article to find out the latest injuries, and players that could have a big game coming. The first best bet looks at a team playing in the second of back-to-back games.

NBA Best Bets Today, 1/5: Picks, Predictions & Player Props - Monday

New York Knicks vs Detroit Pistons: Monday 1/5

Game Time: 7:00 PM ET | TV: Peacock | Location: Little Caesars Arena | Odds: NYK -2.5 | O/U 234.5

The Detroit Pistons played and won a match against the Cleveland Cavaliers last night. It was our double-unit hammer yesterday, and there were several reasons why we took it. It was summed up by calling it asinine by the sportsbooks. Now, after playing last night, and with three players injured, they host the New York Knicks.

The Pistons have had two game totals above 234 points in their last 11 games. Somehow, in the second of back-to-back games, they are supposed to score more than their average? Isaiah Stewart is in for Jalen Duren, and he was the December Defensive Player of the Month. And he will continue to play with great effort, but New York should play better, too.

The Knicks have lost three consecutive games and five of their last ten. They have not been able to generate defense without Josh Hart. Luckily, it has been noticed and is to be addressed. If that is the case, this game may not get to 214 points. Put the rare triple unit slammer on the under of this game.

Denver Nuggets vs Philadelphia 76ers: Monday 1/5

Game Time: 8:30 PM ET | TV: Peacock | Location: Xfinity Mobile Arena | Odds: PHI -11.5 | O/U 229.5

The second nationally televised game on Peacock features the second team playing in the second of back-to-back games. The Philadelphia 76ers host the Denver Nuggets and are massive favorites over the injured Nuggets. Denver was blown out by the Brooklyn Nets yesterday, and Aaron Gordon and Christian Braun returned to the lineup.

Who knows who will be in and out for a team that is in such a state of roster flux due to injury? The Nuggets could rest Jamal Murray, who is dealing with an ankle sprain, but is playing through it. The Philadelphia 76ers are finally putting together a healthy roster and have a team that could push for an Eastern Conference title.

Paul George, Tyrese Maxey, and VJ Edgecombe are healthy and are a formidable core. Joel Embiid is listed as probable, and he will have a field day against the Nuggets' frontcourt. It’s a high spread, and the favored team is rarely mentioned in this scenario. Trust the 76ers to deliver on the high spread at home.

NBA Prop Bet Today, 1/5

Yesterday wasn’t the only significant third-winning bet. This column has closed out the past three days with successful predictions by betting the under on rebounding propositions. Although the Law of Averages could be lurking behind the bench, we return with our fourth-best bet on the under.

Isaiah Stewart is filling in for Jalen Duren as the starting center for the Detroit Pistons, and he helped deliver a win against the Cleveland Cavaliers yesterday. Now he gets to play against the New York Knicks and two great rebounders. Karl-Anthony Towns and Mitchell Robinson are double-digit rebounding players, and Stewart is not. It could be difficult for him to earn his per-game average of 5.6 rebounds.

Stewart has 4 or fewer rebounds in the Pistons' last seven games. Yet somehow his line is set at 7.5, and it makes no sense. Especially on the second of back-to-back games, and against Karl-Anthony Towns. Put a unit on the best bet of Stewart to record less than 7.5 rebounds against the Knicks.
