MLB Opening Day is finally upon us, which means it is time to set our first MLB DFS lineups of the 2023 MLB season. Of course, a lot of the focus will be on what the stars can do on Opening Day. Will Jacob deGrom dominate in his debut with the Texas Rangers? Will Aaron Judge continue his reign as the AL home run king? What will WBC rivals Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout do for the Los Angeles Angels? Still, there is also a chance to take advantage of some mispriced players on both DraftKings and FanDuel for MLB daily fantasy lineups. Due to it being Opening Day, MLB DFS salaries are based on less information than usual. This leads to players being undervalued who either just secured a starting role, improved their fantasy value due to team changes or placement in a lineup, or are returning from injury. Grabbing a few of these mispriced MLB DFS picks and value plays could give you an edge to start the season. Here are my favorite MLB DFS value plays for your daily fantasy baseball lineups for Opening Day.

DraftKings MLB DFS Value Picks

Triston Casas, 1B, Boston Red Sox – $2,900

Casas has been crushing this spring, he should be in the heart of the Boston lineup. He gets to face Kyle Gibson on Opening Day.

Ozzie Albies, 2B Atlanta Braves – $3,900

There are 15 second basemen that cost more than Albies. I think his price is still down from his injury last year, and I will be shocked if 15 second basemen outscore a healthy Albies on opening day against Patrick Corbin.

Ezequiel Tovar, SS, Colorado Rockies – $2,000

Upside is probably limited with him at the bottom of the lineup and not in Colorado, but it is still only $2,000 for a starting SS with a pretty good bat.

Trevor Larnach, OF, Minnesota Twins – $2,500

Larnach has been hitting great this spring and should certainly be in the lineup against the righty Zack Greinke on opening day.

Garrett Mitchell, OF, Milwaukee Brewers – $2,900

Sounds like he should be the Brewers' everyday centerfielder and should definitely be in the lineup against the righty Marcus Stroman on opening day.

FanDuel MLB DFS Value Picks

Darick Hall, 1B, Philadelphia Phillies – $2,000

After the Rhys Hoskins injury he is their starting 1B and should be hitting in the heart of that Phillies lineup.

Isaac Paredes, 3B, Tampa Bay Rays – $2,400

Paredes could take a big step forward offensively this year. Even if he doesn't, though, he already crushes lefties and is facing Eduardo Rodriguez on Opening Day.

Jake Fraley, OF, Cincinnati Reds – $2,600

Should be in the middle of what is a solid lineup in Cincy in the best hitters' park outside of Colorado. Plus, he crushes righties and is facing Mitch Keller.

TJ Friedl, OF, Cincinnati Reds – $2,500

Same points as Fraley but at the top of the lineup.

Masataka Yoshida, OF, Boston Red Sox – $2,900

His hit tool is elite, and I don’t think he struggles to transition to the MLB. I see his everyday value moving up quickly.
