Alex Verdugo of the Boston Red Sox is among the best point-per-dollar plays on the slate. The weather looks fine at the moment, but make sure to check the latest MLB weather report. Now let's look at some MLB DFS top picks in the value range for tonight's main slate.

MLB DFS Value Pitchers

Nathan Eovaldi (BOS) – $8.0K DK / $8.8K FD / $41 Yahoo

With the collection of high-priced arms tonight, Eovaldi is too cheap against Oakland on the road in a pitcher-friendly park. He is Boston’s workhorse pitcher and now has thrown two straight quality starts with an ERA of 2.30 with 18 strikeouts over 15.2 innings in that span.

Eovaldi is a big favorite facing an Oakland offense that is striking out 25.6% against right-handed pitching with a team ISO of .131. He will be a popular cash value SP2 on DK tonight.

JT Brubaker (PIT) – $7.6K DK / $7.8K FD / $32 Yahoo

Brubaker struggled through the month of April with a 6.20 ERA and 1.52 WHIP in five starts over 20.1 innings. During May, though, Brubaker became a different pitcher. He started five games in the month of May and saw his ERA drop to 2.63 and WHIP to 1.28 during those starts. The Pirates' starter allowed five more hits and one less walk in an additional seven innings pitched over the month. He also allowed two or fewer runs in all but one start – when he allowed four earned runs against the Cubs. Tonight, he faces a Diamondbacks offense that is striking out 25.1% of the time against right-handers. Brubaker will also be at home in a pitcher-friendly park.

MLB DFS Value Hitters

Alex Verdugo (BOS) – $3.4K DK / $2.8K FD / $13 Yahoo

Verdugo has had an up-and-down season. He was on fire in April and then went into a prolonged slump. He’s starting to break out of it again, hitting .266 over the last 20 games with 13 RBI. Tonight, he gets the platoon advantage over right-hander James Kaprielian – where Verdugo has a .360wOBA and .294 average on the split. Kaprielian has also struggled against left-handed bats. allowing a .240 ISO and .378wOBA with plenty of hard contact. Verdugo is in play in all formats tonight.

Oscar Gonzalez (CLE) – $2.0K / $2.3K FD / $10 Yahoo

Gonzalez has quickly become a fan favorite in Cleveland. He was finally held hitless last game for the first time in six contests since joining the Guardians – but what a week did he put together! He banged out two hits, including a pair of doubles, in each of his first two major league games at Detroit. Then in his home debut on Monday, he had two more hits.

Despite going 0-for-4 on Wednesday, Gonzalez finished the week with nine hits – the fifth-most in franchise history through a Cleveland player’s first five games. He is now hitting .360 with a pair of RBI, two doubles, and a .840 OPS while striking out only three times in 21 at-bats. The rookie is in a smash spot against Orioles starter Bruce Zimmerman, who has allowed nine home runs (yes, NINE!) in his last two starts.

Jesse Winker (SEA) – $3.8K DK / $2.6K FD / $11 Yahoo

After a very slow start to the season, Jesse Winker is finally starting to hit up to his expectations. He went 3-for-5 last night with two doubles and an RBI from the lead-off spot and should be back in the same position tonight. His walk rate is near elite and Winker has a reputation as a righty-killer with a .232 ISO/.398wOBA and .295 average. Tonight he faces Dane Dunning who is allowing 52% hard contact to left-handed bats with a 10% walk rate-making Winker viable in all formats.

Yonathan Daza (COL) – $3.4K DK / $2.9K FD / $14 Yahoo

Daza may fly right under the radar tonight in Coors Field. It’s a tough matchup against Max Fried, but Daza is hitting fifth in the best hitting environment of the slate. He will have the RvL advantage where he has a .351 average against southpaws with a .415 on-base percentage.  Over the past 20 games, Daza is hitting .358 with a .367wOBA and 142.6wRC+- not too shabby. If you are stacking the Rockies or want a cheap piece of this high-scoring game you could do a lot worse than Yonathan Daza
