Today’s MLB DFS coverage is for the 6-game early slate on DraftKings and 4-game early slate on FanDuel that starts at 12:20 pm ET. We do not have Coors Field on the slate, so you don’t have to worry about keeping that in mind when setting lineups. Starting pitching is pretty rough, especially on FanDuel, but we do have a no-brainer option in Shohei Ohtani on DraftKings. We do have a weather concern in the game between the Atlanta Braves and Miami Marlins, so keep that in mind and avoid that game if it still looks rough leading up to game time. Let’s dive into some of my favorite value options of the day and some we can fit into our cash and tournament lineups!

MLB DFS Value Pitchers

Seth Lugo, San Diego Padres (DraftKings: $8,300)

Lugo has pitched very well this season with a 2.78 ERA and 23 strikeouts across 22.2 innings of work. He is averaging 18.3 dk points per game thus far and had a game with a nice 29.4 total. Pitching at Wrigley Field in Chicago can be dangerous when the wind is blowing out, but that is not the case today, so it’s a non-issue. I like him to continue his early success.

Kyle Wright, Atlanta Braves (DraftKings: $6,600 / FanDuel: $8,000)

Wright didn’t pitch very well his last time out and overall hasn’t looked great thus far, but he was working his way back into the swing of swings and his last outing was against a tough Astros lineup. Today he gets to face a weaker lineup in Miami and he is extremely cheap, giving him nice upside and a solid opportunity to pick up a victory as well.

MLB DFS Value Hitters

Brandon Drury, 1B/2B, Los Angeles Angels (DraftKings: $3,500)

Drury is a lock-and-load play today. He is only available on DraftKings early slate (or on FanDuel if you play the All-Day slate), but he is in a great spot. Mr. Grande has mentioned it at nauseam at this point (for good reason), Drury is very strong against lefties. He’s also scorching hot in this series against Oakland, scoring 39, 17, and 25 dk points by going 7-13 with three home runs, 9 RBI, and 6 runs scored in the first three games.

Vaughn Grissom, SS, Atlanta Braves (DraftKings: $3,600 / FanDuel: $2,400)

Grissom is hitting a strong .293 thus far, but unfortunately it hasn’t come with much at all in counting stats as he has zero home runs and zero stolen bases. However, we know that he does have power/speed upside, so that’s only a matter of time. He has a cheap price tag on both sites (especially on FD) and Braxton Garrett is far from scary.

Teoscar Hernandez, OF, Seattle Mariners (FanDuel: $3,000)

Teoscar has homered in three of his past five games and scored at least 16 dk points in all three of those games. He now has six home runs and 15 RBI on the year, so he has been pretty solid in counting stats, despite a low .234 batting average. He is overpriced on DraftKings, but he is underpriced on FanDuel today and is a good play.

Jazz Chisholm Jr., OF, Miami Marlins (FanDuel: $2,900)

Jazz has homered in back-to-back games and now has five home runs and seven stolen bases on the year as he continues to show how dynamic of a player he is (despite his continued issues with batting average and OBP). He has been a more productive player on the road thus far, averaging 8.6 dk ppg, compared to 7.0 at home. His price on DraftKings is fine and playable, but his price on FanDuel is kind of laughable.
