2023 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: Like some other arms in Miami, Garrett’s 2023 season was more about proving he could stay healthy and productive on an MLB level. He did that. The number don’t leap off the page at you with a 3.66 ERA (4.55 xERA, 3.62 SIERA), 1.15 WHIP, 23.7-percent K-rate, and 1.63 BB/9 over 159.2 innings in 31 appearances (30 starts. That’s all we needed from Garrett to be honest after a limited 2022 season. 

2024 Outlook: Looking ahead to 2024 for Garrett, we’re looking at another 150-160 innings on the mound with a similar ERA to 2023. However, the WHIP and K-rate are likely to regress a bit. A regression there would cut down on his fantasy value which is already limited in wins and strikeouts in general. Garrett comes in as an SP5 at best for fantasy baseball in 2024.
