Published: Apr 07, 2026
Happy Tuesday, April 7th. We have a 12-game MLB DFS slate on DraftKings starting at 6:40 pm ET and seven games on FanDuel, starting at 7:05 pm ET.
It's quite a fascinating slate because we have aces up and down the slate while also having the Houston Astros in Coors Field. When Tarik Skubal, Garrett Crochet, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Paul Skenes, and Christopher Sanchez take the mound on the same night, there is some serious upside in your lineup. Is it possible to get two of those guys and stack Coors Field? Let's figure that out together in today's MLB DFS playbook!

| Weather | Cold in a few spots, but nothing to worry about. |
💎 PITCHING COACH
Top Tier
Tarik Skubal (DET) | vs MIN
There aren't many better spots on the main slate than what Tarik Skubal has today against Minnesota. The Twins have a 27% K-rate against lefties across nearly 150 at-bats while ranking 26th in OPS and wOBA.
Cristopher Sanchez (PHI) | vs SFG
It's been an elite start to the year for Cristopher Sanchez as he's pitched to a .79 ERA through two starts along with a 13.5 K/9. The Giants have been OK against lefties, but it's just a .672 OPS as a team this year. It's an elite park to pitch in and he's getting no ownership.
Paul Skenes (PIT) | vs SD
Nobody and I mean nobody is playing Paul Skenes today. I think that's a bit silly. His pitch count should be up to a better number in his third start here and we know what his upside is and can be. Against righties this year, the Padres are 22nd in OPS and have a 23.2% K-rate, which is higher than it's been in years past.
Value Plays
Cam Schlittler (NYY) | vs ATH
I honestly think the ballpark is scaring people away, but Cam Schlittler has been flat out dominant through his first two starts of the year. The Athletics on the other hand have not been a good offense and have struck out more than anyone else as their K-rate sits at 29.8% vs. RHP.
Sandy Alcantara (MIA) | vs CIN
The Cincinnati Reds have nopt been good against right-handed pitching this year and here lies one of the league's best righties to start the season. Alcantara has fired off 16 scoreless innings including a complete game shutout his last time out. The Reds rank 27th in OPS, 26th in wOBA, and have a 23.7% K-rate vs. RHP.
Cade Cavalli (WSH) | vs STL
After they traded everyone away, we knew the Cardinals offense would struggle for the most part and struggle they have. Up to this point, they rank 24th or worse in wRC+, wOBA, ISO, and OPS against right-handed pitching while sporting a 23.8% K-rate. Cavalli needs to hone in the walks a bit, but he's been good pitching to a 2.79 ERA with eight strikeouts in 9.2 IP.
💎 HITTING COACH
Elite Bats
Yordan Alvarez (OF, HOU) | vs COL
Elite hitter against both splits that's getting to hit in Coors. It isn't going to get better than that.
Aaron Judge (OF, NYY) | vs ATH
In 2025, Aaron Judge had a .330 ISO and a .384 xISO against right-handed pitching. He faces a pitcher in Aaron Civale with an elevated flyball rate and also allowed a .172 ISO and .200 xISO to righties last season. It's a fantastic spot.
Isaac Paredes (3B, HOU) | vs COL
Because he was out over the weekend, DraftKings did not price Isaac Paredes appropriately and his tag is very cheap considering he's a top-half of the order bat that's $1K too cheap in Coors. Righties had a .179 ISO, .201 xISO, and .352 wOBA against Kyle Freeland last season.
Jose Altuve (2B, HOU) | vs COL
The matchup against Kyle Freeland is ideal here considering how bad he was against righties and how good Altuve was against southpaws. Altuve had a .207 ISO and .342 wOBA against them in 2025.
Value Bats (Salary Savers)
- Giancarlo Stanton (OF, NYY): Massive power at a cheap price point.
- Cam Smith (OF, HOU): Elite Coors Field value that can beat you with power and speed.
- Mickey Moniak (OF, COL): .271 ISO, .360 wOBA vs. RHP last year
- T.J. Rumfield (1B, COL): Rumfield has a .300 ISO and .474 wOBA vs. RHP and is hitting in Coors
🏗️ THE STACKING BLUEPRINT
Primary Stack: Houston Astros
Targets: Alvarez, Paredes, Smith, Altuve, Pena, Correa
Opponent: Colorado Rockies | HOU 6.2 implied
This one isn't rocket science. The Astros, just like last night, will be massive chalk in Coors Field. Righties have had better success against Kyle Freeland in the past, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't include Yordan Alvarez in my stack. He crushes lefties. Righties did have a .179 ISO, .201 xISO, and .352 wOBA against Freeland last season.
Primary Stack: New York Yankees
Targets: Judge, Stanton, Bellinger, Chisholm, Rice, Grisham
Opponent: Athletics | NYY 5.1 implied
Aaron Civale is coming off a season in which he had a career-high 46.9% flyball rate after besting his previous career-high from the year before. So the trends are there. That's not what you want heading into Yankee Stadium against this offense. The top-six in tonight's lineup for the Yankees had ISOs of .190 or higher against right-handed pitchers last year.
Contrarian Stack: Colorado Rockies
Targets: Moniak, Johnston, Rumfield, Castro, Julien
Opponent: Houston Astros | COL 4.5 implied
The talent that Mike Burrows has is evident, but that talent can be tested trying to navigate the deep waters of Coors Field. Lefties have given him fits to start the year as he's allowed a .267 ISO, .237 xISO, .458 wOBA, and .431 xwOBA. The Rockies can throw a LOT of lefties out there with Moniak, Rumfield, Johnston, Julien, and Castro in the lineup.
Contrarian Stack: Los Angeles Angels
Targets: Neto, Adell, Trout, Soler, Moncada, Lowe
Opponent: Atlanta Braves | LAA 4.2 implied
I've been incredibly anti-Reynaldo Lopez to start the year and the underlying numbers back that up, which is why I'm interested in some low-owned Angels. Lopez's strikeouts are down, flyballs are up, and his batted ball luck is off the charts. Lopez has a 1.64 ERA, but a 5.04 xFIP, .161 BABIP, and 5.05 SIERA. There's some serious power atop the Angels lineup, especially if Mike Trout is back.
📈 THE LEVERAGE REPORT (GAME THEORY)
The Chalk (Popular) | The Pivot (Low Owned) | The Winning Logic |
|---|---|---|
| Crochet (highly owned) | Skenes (low-owned) | Skenes has a much better matchup and should be close to a full workload in start number three. |
| Ray (highly owned) | Schlittler (low-owned) | The upside for Schlittler against the offense striking out more than anyone else against righties is appealing. Ray faces an elite Phillies offense. |
| HOU Chalk Stack (Alvarez, Altuve, Pena, Correa all highly owned) | COL Stack (Moniak, Rumfield low-owned) | The Rockies offense is actually clicking and has a lot of lefties to throw at Mike Burrows. Burrows has allowed a .267 ISO vs. LHH. |
| NYY Chalk Stack (Judge, Bellinger, Stanton all highly owned) | LAA Stack (all pieces low-owned) | Yankees lineup looks good, but nobody is playing the Angels who faces a lucky pitcher up to this point. |
🎯 HEART OF THE ORDER
The core pieces for every lineup you build today. Ownership drives the cash versus GPP label.
| SP1 | Tarik Skubal (DET) | No better spot on the slate for an SP. |
| Core Bat | Yordan Alvarez (HOU) | Elite hitter in Coors Field. |
| Core Bat | Isaac Paredes (HOU) | Cheaper than he should be in Coors. |
| Core Bat | Cody Bellinger (NYY) | Nearly a .900 OPS and dominates in Yankee Stadium. |
| Value Core | Giancarlo Stanton (NYY) | Cookin' with gas against a flyball pitcher. |
| Value Core | Mickey Moniak (COL) | Cheap bat with huge upside in Coors Field. |
| Value Core | T.J. Rumfield (COL) | Cheap bat with huge upside in Coors Field. |
