💎 PITCHING COACH

Top Tier

Michael King (SD) | vs STL

King's your chalk pitcher today and that could be a little risky with how well St. Louis' offense can hit right-handed pitchers. Righties give King issues, so he needs to avoid the Jordan Walker explosion and he could put up a crooked score.

Max Meyer (MIA) | vs BAL

Baltimore's offense strikes out a lot against right-handed pitching. They've punched out 24.3% of the time and that's the fourth-highest mark in baseball. The offense is very league average outside of the strikeouts, too. Meyer is pitching extremely well as he has his ERA down to 2.68 and his strikeouts are a career-high 9.7 K/9.

Cade Povich (BAL) | vs MIA

For as good as Miami is against right-handed pitching, they're equally as bad against left-handers. Miami is 24th in wRC+ against southpaws this year and is striking out at a 22.8% clip too. Povich's strikeouts are down this year, but his swinging strike is up, which is the primary indicator that strikeouts will come.

Value Plays

Matthew Liberatore (STL) | vs SD

This is actually a pretty good spot for Matthew Liberatore as the Padres are 20th in OPS and wOBA and are 18th in wRC+ against left-handed pitching. Liberatore has not had a great season but he's put up 16+ DKP in two of three and his price is appealing in the ballpark he's pitching in here.

The Winning Logic

King (highly owned)Povich (lower-owned)Povich has massive strikeout upside. Arguably better than King's spot.
Meyer (highly owned)Liberatore (low-owned)The Padres are 20th or worse in OPS, wOBA, and wRC+ vs. LHP.
PHI Chalk Stack (highly owned)TB Stack (lower-owned)Jake Bennett doesn't miss bats and had bad peripherals against righties.
ATH Chalk Stack (highly ownership)BOS Stack (lower-owned)Both Griffin Jax and Jesse Scholtens struggle against lefties. I like Red Sox lefties.
