MLB Injury Report: Starting Pitchers
Bailey Ober, Minnesota Twins - Hip
The belief is that Ober’s next start will be in the majors, and Roster Resource has Ober tabbed as Wednesday’s starter against the Boston Red Sox.
Kris Bubic, Kansas City Royals - Shoulder
Bubic was placed on the IL with a rotator cuff strain. His velo has been trending down in recent starts, and it’s probably worth noting that his 116.1 IP on the year are the most he’s thrown since the 2022 season (129 IP).
Grant Holmes, Atlanta Braves - Elbow
Holmes is the latest starting pitcher from the Atlanta Braves to hit the injured list. He’s dealing with inflammation in his pitching elbow and was placed on the 60-day IL.
Aaron Nola, Philadelphia Phillies - Ankle/Rib
Nola is expected to head out on a rehab assignment on Thursday. He hasn’t pitched since May 14th due to ankle and rib issues.
Kyle Bradish, Baltimore Orioles - Elbow
Bradish made his first rehab start back on July 24th, and his second outing is scheduled for Tuesday of this week.
Blake Snell, Los Angeles Dodgers - Shoulder
Snell went 4.2 hitless innings in his last rehab start, and it’s very possible that the southpaw starts for the Dodgers on Friday in Tampa Bay.
Spencer Arrighetti, Houston Astros - Thumb
Arrighetti will make his next – and possibly last– rehab start this week. Lots of Astros-related injury updates in the post below.
Hunter Greene, Cincinnati Reds - Groin
It sounds like Greene will make a rehab start on Tuesday.
Shane Bieber, Cleveland Guardians - Elbow
The expectation was for Bieber to work up to 55 pitches on Sunday, but that game was rained out.
Landen Roupp, San Francisco Giants - Elbow
Roupp was placed on the injured list with inflammation in his pitching elbow.

MLB Injury Report: Hitters
Aaron Judge, New York Yankees - Elbow
Judge was placed on the IL with a flexor strain. In the below video, Judge kind of hints at possibly being able to come off the list after the minimum 10 days, and serve as the team’s DH.
Nick Kurtz, Athletics - Lower Body
Kurtz is day-to-day with some lower-body fatigue. All that running around the bases in his 6-hit, 4-homer game must have worn him out!
Adley Rutschman, Baltimore Orioles - Oblique
Rutschman is expected to be activated off the IL on Monday.
Isaac Paredes, Houston Astros - Hamstring
The news isn’t getting any better with Paredes, as it’s now being reported that it’s a bit more severe than the team originally thought.
Alejandro Kirk, Toronto Blue Jays - Concussion
Kirk was placed on the 7-day concussion injured list.
Jac Caglianone, Kansas City Royals - Hamstring
Caglianone is dealing with a hamstring strain, and the team placed him on the injured list. The Royals did trade for Randal Grichuk, so I wonder if Caglianone’s absence could extend a bit longer than first presumed.
Byron Buxton, Minnesota Twins - Side
Buxton went for an MRI to determine the severity of the soreness in his left side that impacted his availability over the weekend.
Marcelo Mayer, Boston Red Sox, Wrist
Mayer was placed on the injured list with a right wrist issue.
