Good thing Week 9 is over with, because when the Patriots, Redskins and Bengals were all on bye, the tight end position looked extremely weak. Well, Rob Gronkowski, Jordan Reed and Tyler Eifert are all back and ready to perform like elite tight ends. The tight end position is top heavy and you can never go wrong with Gronk or Reed in any of your lineups. Anyways, let’s dive right into it.

Here are the top 5 tight ends for Week 10 of the NFL season.

Rob Gronkowski vs. SEA

It doesn’t matter who New England plays, Gronkowski is always an elite option at the tight end position. Since Brady’s return, he’s caught a touchdown in three of four games, while failing to record at least 109 receiving yards just once. He’s an elite option at the position and his 22.5 yards per receptions since Brady’s return is exceptional.

Jordan Reed vs. MIN

Reed is a target machine and his average of 9.8 targets per game leads the position. He’s recorded 26 receptions in his last three games and tight ends have hurt the Minnesota defense in recent weeks. Eric Ebron and Zach Miller had their way with this defense, which makes Reed an even more enticing option in Week 10.

Greg Olsen vs. KC

Among all tight ends in football, Olsen leads in receptions, yards, targets and fantasy points. His matchup with the Chiefs isn’t ideal, especially since they haven’t allowed a touchdown to a tight end since Week 4. However, Olsen is easily the best tight end this team has faced all season, so you shouldn’t have many qualms with starting Olsen this week.

Delanie Walker vs. GB

The Packers allowed a touchdown to a tight end in each of the first two weeks of the season, but no tight end has found the end zone against Green Bay since that point. Walker was banged up for last week’s game, but he still managed to tally 42 yards and find the end zone for the fourth time on the season. He’s the team’s leading receiver and he’s firmly entrenched in TE1 territory in Week 10.

Travis Kelce @ CAR

Carolina has allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends and even though Kansas City sports a run-heavy offense, Kelce continues to produce for his owners. He has 12 receptions in his last two games and his 18.5 percent target share in the offense keeps his fantasy floor pretty darn high.
