Hitters

Play of the Day: Jose Bautista-- Bautista had a rare day off yesterday as he is only 9-65 in the second half, and is now priced outside the top 30 OF options on Y!.  Bautista is 10-34 with 5 home runs lifetime off of Shields.  Had a double in four straight games before an O’fer on Saturday.

Top Play: Lorenzo Cain--Cain is the same price as Bautista, and both of them combined are still less than the cost of the top priced Harper and Stanton tonight.  Cain is 9-20 with a homer off of Ubaldo, who has a 4.58 career ERA vs the royals.

GPP Play: Yoan Moncada-- Second base is loaded tonight, but Moncada checks in as a nice value option for gpp’s tonight.  Four of his last six games have gone for O’fers, but his four hits since being called up has been good for the cycle.  Hard to find a cheap option that bats in the cleanup spot.

GPP Play: Andrew Benintendi--   Boston is projected to score over five runs tonight as Benintendi looks for his first homer since his two homer game back on July 4th.  He’s batting only .176 over his last ten games, but Clevinger has allowed two home runs in three of his starts this season.

Pitchers

Play of the Day: Luis Severino --Severino and the Yankees check in as the largest favorites of the slate tonight vs the Tigers.  Severino is currently on an 18 inning scoreless streak, while only allowing one earned run over his last 27 innings pitched.  Has at least six strikeouts in 12 of his last 13 games, placing his 5th in the A.L. with 145 K’s this season.

Top Play: Charlie Morton--Morton’s price dropped in Y! Today after pitching seven scoreless innings with nine K’s in his last start against the Phillies.  Five of his last ten starts since taking the loss from the Rays back in April have went for at least eight strikeouts.  Great price tag for a #2 SP tonight.

Pivot Play: Gio Gonzalez--  Gio will be facing some big Miami bats, but is 7-3 with a 2.19 ERA in 13 career games vs the Marlins.  Gonzalez has struck out 25.7% of Marlins in 101 plate appearance over the past two years, which includes 15 K’s in 13 innings vs them this season.
