Frankly, it’s not as if we needed to see a depleted Baltimore squad, but it certainly doesn’t hurt. Detmers is coming off a nine-strikeout performance against Yordan Alvarez and the Houston Astros, so he can certainly handle the O’s. They have the second-highest lefty K rate this season - ironically enough, only the Angels have been worse.

While that is true and may become an even bigger concern, we aren’t overreacting just yet; after all, he has more K’s than he did last year at this point.
