Monday’s MLB slate is a short one with just seven games on-hand. Fortunately, we have some outstanding pitchers to look at as Corbin Burnes takes on the Tampa Bay Rays, Carlos Rodon faces the Kansas City Royals and Dylan Cease gets the Oakland Athletics. The Vegas odds and lines for game bets and props bets alike are pretty tight, but we should be able to isolate some quality value bets around the league.

MLB Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 6/10

We closed out last week’s MLB predictions by breaking even on the record but lost a little and find ourselves now back in a small hole. Of all the times for Luis Rengifo to not hit lefties like he normally does, amirite? Same with Jake Meyers.

Of course, Dan Servodidio carried you through some nice bets over the weekend, including that London series between the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies, so perhaps your bankroll is doing just fine. Tracking my own bets, though, it’s time to start the week off on the right foot and get back into the green. I’m feeling it this week, people, so let’s get to it!

  • Friday’s Record: 6-6
  • Season Record: 204-185-5
  • Bankroll: -3.31 units

Rockies vs. Twins Prediction: Monday, June 10

The Twins are coming off a rough stretch where they lost five-straight but turned things around on Sunday with an 11-run explosion. Now they get to enjoy some batting practice, courtesy of the always hittable Dakota Hudson. The Rockies righthander continues to struggle with his command and routinely pitches to a whole lot of contact. So long as the Twins don’t rush their at-bats, they should be able to draw some walks and let some of those bats do the trick, especially Royce Lewis.

On the other side, the Twins are throwing Chris Paddack and while the Rockies are by far one of the absolute worst-hitting teams, Paddack has still struggled throughout this season. He’s allowed 11 earned runs over his last 9.2 innings (two starts) and should give up a couple of runs himself. You also have both bullpens struggling right now as, over the past week, the Twins pen has posted a 4.26 ERA while a seriously overworked Rockies pen has a 7.00 ERA over the past week (27 IP).

You can chase the plus-odds on the over 8.5 if you like. With the Rockies being without Kris Bryant and Brendan Rodgers, I’ll play it safe and take the over-8, with my MLB best bets taking the safety of a potential push.

White Sox vs. Mariners Prediction: Monday, June 10

I’ve always been a big fan of Mariners starter Logan Gilbert, so him facing the White Sox is a matchup I would like to exploit. I can see him mowing down this Chicago lineup which ranks dead-last in MLB with a .277 wOBA against righties and has just a .126 ISO and .264 BABIP. However, with the way they’ve awakened recently (.331 wOBA and .204 ISO over last seven days), I won’t get too greedy.

But on the other side, the Pale Hose are throwing Eric Fedde who has surprised a number of people this season. He’s taken some lumps, but he’s also posted three scoreless performances over his last six starts. The Mariners are not a strong-hitting team by any means, and they still have the highest strikeout rate of any team facing righthanded pitching. Fedde’s K-props are juiced a little, but our MLB picks can find some value grabbing the underdog on the early run line.
