The baseball schedule is packed with action for Saturday, March 30 and we’re looking to add to our bankroll here at the MLB Best Bets and Prop Bets

We had another strong day Friday, going 5-1 overall and turning a solid profit. We even got some help early, seeing a couple of our props hit immediately in their respective games. The only one we lost was taking the Houston Astros on the money line. Cristian Javier looked great early but eventually fell apart while Carlos Rodon struggled throughout his appearance but the Astros bats were unable to capitalize. It happens. We add to our bankroll nonetheless and move on to Saturday’s games.

  • Yesterday’s Record: 5-1
  • Season Record: 9-3
  • Bankroll: +5.29 units

MLB Best Bets for Today: Saturday, 3/30

Guardians vs. Athletics Prediction Today, 3/30

We’ve got a day game following a night game and we’ve got an interesting pitching match-up which could suppress the score a little. Not to mention, the weather out here in Northern California is a little brisk, a little damp and there’s some wind blowing in today. Tanner Bibee had a decent enough spring and, like many pitchers we’ve seen through the first two days, seems to be a little ahead of where pitchers are normally this early in the year. Oakland is not a strong-hitting team and own the third-highest K-rate against righties, dating back t the start of last season.

On the other side, we have lefty JP Sears and while he’s not the be-all, end-all of southpaws, he had a solid spring and takes on a Guardians lineup loaded with left-handed hitters. Combining last season with the fist two games, this Cleveland lineup ranks dead-last in wOBA against lefties and produced almost no power, as evidenced by the .134 ISO mark. I’m sure there are some players like Jose Ramirez who will be fine, but overall, the score stays down in this one for me.

Dodgers vs. Cardinals Prediction Today, 3/30

At some point, the books are going to correct and we are going to have to get real creative with how we bet the Dodgers. This one seems pretty easy though, given how their bats have performed and with everything we know about Lance Lynn. The real linchpin of this one will be how Yoshinobu Yamamoto performs in his second official MLB start. He had some issues back in the Seoul Series and gets a few tough hitters like Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado. However, I think he corrects what needs to be fixed fairly quickly and we learn first-hand why the Dodgers paid him $325M. We’ll continue to back Los Angeles, so long as the odds stay favorable.

Twins vs. Royals Prediction Today, 3/30

Joe Ryan takes the mound for the Twins today and gets a nice, soft match-up against a Royals team that features Bobby Witt and then not a whole lot else. He did have a few hiccups last season against some righthanded hitters, but not enough for me to think he, along with a strong bullpen, can’t suppress this Royals lineup.

On the other side, Seth Lugo makes his debut for the Royals in what should be a solid match-up against a good Twins lineup. Minnesota posted the fifth-best wOBA (.331) against right-handed pitching last year and while yes, they did strike out a bunch still managed to post a .187 ISO with a .444 slugging percentage against them. The game will likely be close and we could sweat it out to the end, but I’ll side with the Twins in this one.
