MLB Best Bets and Betting Picks for July 27
Happy Thursday to everyone out there in the Fantasy Alarm family! We are turning the corner and riding a hot streak on the best bets article right now as the last 4 articles are a combined 10-5 overall and the unit tracker is positive yet again! Not going to rest on the laurel's though as every slate is a chance to stack up some more green even on a slate that features just 5 games on the MLB slate. Not a ton of angles to discover but in the article there is still a game total and Money Line I feel very good about, so let's dive into what I am betting on for tonight July 27th!
- Tuesday's Record: 3-1
- Season Record: 53-46-1

MLB Best Bets for July 27
Chicago Cubs at St. Louis Cardinals
The Cubs and Cardinals are heading nowhere this MLB season as they sit under .500 and are destined for a swift end of the season come October. That doesn't mean they can't make us a little money though in the meantime and I am eyeing up the under as the total just seems too high for these offenses. Sure the Chicago offense has been good this season scoring the 8th most runs per game at 4.91 but that number shrinks on the road and in the last 4 games between these two teams the under hit 3 of those games. The Cardinals are also dealing with trade rumors on the side so who knows if the full lineup will trot out there most night for this week? I also like the pitching matchup for an under today as well with Justin Steele getting the start with his 2.95 ERA and 1.11 WHIP. Steele hasn't been as sharp in the month of July allowing 11 earned runs in 18 innings pitched but I think he bounces back just fine today against the Cardinals. Give me the under in this NL Central game that truly has no meaning.
Pick: Cubs & Cardinals Under 9.5 Runs (-115 on DraftKings)
Cleveland Guardians at Chicago White Sox
I have been riding with Cleveland the last few weeks on this article and overall it has paid off nicely as they fight towards the postseason and this time of year its crucial to bet on teams that are motivated. They travel to Chicago tonight as they start a series with the White Sox who just traded away Lucas Giolito and may be dumping more players in the coming days. The one hiccup in taking the Guardians today is Dylan Cease starting for the White Sox who has been racking up the strikeouts and keeping the ERA down overall. In the month of July his ERA is up to 4.03 but he played the Braves and Twins so it happens. That aside I still like the grove the Guardians are in right now and Josh Naylor is just crushing it and super dangerous at the moment. Tanner Bibee will start for Cleveland as well with his 6-2 record and 3.04 ERA on the season and that gives some edge going against Cease as Bibee is extremely consistent in his outings. The lines are dead even on most books today but that Cleveland Money Line is calling my name so let's hit it!
Pick: Cleveland Guardians Money Line (+100 on WynnBET)
**all bets are one unit unless specifically mentioned.
