Favorite Bets: 

Pete Crow-Armstrong, Chicago Cubs (+262)

Does it feel a little dirty just going back to the well again? Maybe a little, but we’re getting good odds again here and PCA has 26 steals on the season, an 80-percent success-rate on the bases, and a .398 wOBA against righties. Hoping to see Ivan Herrera behind the dish with a day game following a night game, but either way, I think we’re good with Andre Pallante on the bump for the Cardinals. PCA is too aggressive on the bases to not try it again. So we will.

Longshot:

Bo Bichette, New York Mets (+960)

Right back to the Mets well, but with a bit of a twist. A true longshot for you, but one I’m really digging right now. Eury Perez is on the bump for the Marlins and his 23 stolen bases allowed is the most of any pitcher in MLB. But Perez has had good success against left-handed hitting if you look at the metrics, so we’re going to the right-handed Bo Bichette as the pivot. The sample size of at-bats isn’t big, but Bichette has a .375 average over eight at-bats against Perez and he’s literally the only Met who has a hit off this guy. The Marlins catchers have a combined caught-stealing of just 22.7-percent, so while the odds scream longshot, we’re banking on the splits being in our favor.
