2026 Fantasy Football Player Profile

2025 Season Recap

Tyler Shough was one of the better stories of the 2025 season. He took over as the Saints' starter in Week 9 and finished with 2,384 yards and 10 touchdown passes against just 6 interceptions over 11 games, posting a 67.6% completion rate. He led all rookie quarterbacks in completion percentage, passer rating, and wins as a starter, and was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

2026 Fantasy Outlook

Shough is one of the more intriguing sleepers at the position this year. New Orleans added first-round rookie wide receiver Jordyn Tyson out of Arizona State in the draft, giving him a legitimate downfield threat he lacked in his first year as a starter. If Tyson hits immediately and Shough takes the natural Year 2 step in his first full season as the unquestioned starter, this offense could be one of the bigger fantasy surprises of 2026. He is the consensus QB20, which prices him as a low-end QB2, and that feels about right with upside for more. Keep an eye on how that connection with Tyson develops in training camp.
