2023 Player Outlook

The Falcons 2022 3rd round pick appeared in four games during his rookie and finished with 708 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions and a 63% completion percentage. Ridder heads into the 2023 season as the Falcons expected starting QB in an offense that has some promise with Bijan Robinson being added to the mix of Drake London and Kyle Pitts. Ridder offers some mobility and in an Arthur Smith offense he won't be asked to do much more than manage the game and limit the turnovers while they look to grind down opponents with the rushing attack. That said, Ridder can throw the ball better than what we saw out of Marcus Mariota last season so there could be some sneaky value this season as a waiver wire pick up.
