Josh Hader allowed four runs, including a pair of home runs, in suffering a blown save Saturday against the Cubs.

The Cubs had four hits and no runs over their first eight innings and seemed destined for a frustrating night with Hader waiting in the ninth, but the southpaw just didn't have his command on this night. After a pair of one-out singles put runners on the corners, Hader threw a fastball down and in to Jason Heyward that the right fielder clubbed to right-center field for a three-run homer. He followed by grooving a fastball to light-hitting Ildemaro Vargas that Vargas parked in the visitors' bullpen to make it back-to-back dingers. The homers were the first allowed by the 26-year-old this year, and he exited the appearance with a 4.61 ERA after entering with a 2.13 ERA. Chalk it up to a bad night for Hader and nothing more.
