2023 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: Once again, Hader was one of the best closers in the game last year as he saved 33 games. While there are some concerns with his walk rate (4.79 per nine innings), Hader is so dominate that there really is no impact to his WHIP (1.10). The southpaw strikes out 13.58 batters per inning and his 1.28 ERA is one of the best in the game while being supported by a 2.36 xERA.

2024 Outlook: There is some concern that Hader loses a few saves as the Astros play the matchup game against tough left-handers in the eighth inning, but there should be enough opportunities to go around. He is borderline unhittable, and a 4.4% barrel-rate last year is the perfect illustration of that.
