We used this space in Tuesday’s WNBA DFS Playbook to discuss the uncertainty around Napheesa Collier and Aliyah Boston. Both players delivered for us, and now two days later, they are nearly the only players I trust for Thursday’s three-game WNBA DFS slate. With that in mind, this may be a good slate to go stars-and-scrubs, or perhaps just skip cash games altogether. If everyone is going to be risky, you may as well plug in some cheap plays and supplement them with the expensive players with the most upside. That isn’t typically how I like to build my lineups, but with just three games and not a ton of great matchups, we need to be prepared to adjust accordingly.

Guards

Jordan HorstonSEAATL800018.94480019.23
I don't know why Horston is listed as a guard on FanDuel or why her price has remained the same on DraftKings after she scored 20.75 fantasy points total over her last three games. That being said, her best game of the season was against Atlanta a month ago. Perhaps more importantly, Gabby Williams's injury is going to open up minutes for someone besides Kia Nurse. Horston is riskier than someone like Moriah Jefferson but Horston's upside is unmatched at her price range.
Kayla McBrideMININD790023.05610022.58
Is Kayla McBride the most boring fantasy play in the entire league? She has at least 20 fantasy points in seven consecutive games, but she has topped 28 fantasy points just once in that span. That being said, she is averaging 29.9 fantasy points in two games against Indiana.
Sophie CunninghamPHOCON820019.26570018.49
I think we have all been burned by Sophie Cunningham at some point this seaosn. That being said, she has at least 24.75 fantasy points in two straight games, and she had 34.0 fantasy points in her only game against Connecticut. She is too cheap on FanDuel and I'll probably pay for her on DraftKings as well.
Jewell LoydSEAATL1070038.49880036.69
I don't think any of the guards on the slate are safe outside of Kayla McBride. Loyd is averaging 5.6 more fantasy points than anyone else on the slate, and Tuesday's game against Connecticut broke a streak of five straight games with at least 35 fantasy points. Loyd's usuage could get another bump with Gabby Williams out.
Allisha GrayATLSEA970031.46690030.87
I might pivot to Rhyne Howard if I can but Gray is the cheapest of the top-tier guards, and the position falls off significantly after her. Affording Loyd will be quite difficult on FanDuel even with NaLyssa Smith saving us a bunch of money, so Gray is the most realistic top-tier target.

Forwards

NaLyssa SmithINDMIN850029.86300027.55
Smith is your bingo free square on FanDuel. She played 18 minutes and scored 14.2 FD fantasy points off then bench in her first game in nearly a month. Even if she just does that again, she needs to be in all lineups. There is a good chance she ramps up in her second game back and if she starts, I'll consider her for DraftKings as well.
Napheesa CollierMININD1080040.64870040.90
You can pivot to Aliyah Boston if you need to but Collier has been better for longer, and they nearly cost the same. Collier has averaged 48.0 fantasy points in two games against Indiana; the only team she's been better against is Seattle. Collier played better than I feared with Dorka Juhasz out and with Juhasz returning Thursday, I have no concerns about Collier.
Nia CoffeyATLSEA690019.21520019.47
Coffey has played at least 22 minutes in three of her last four games; the lone exception was at Las Vegas, where Atlana got blown out. Coffey is averaging 25.25 fantasy points in that span. Seattle has allowed the most steals, the second-most rebounds and the fourth-most blocks to opponents. Coffey has four steals, 20 rebounds and seven blocks in her last four games.
Rebecca AllenCONPHO660014.25460015.25
Allen has scored at least 18 fantasy points in four of her last five games. Her ceiling isn't particularly high, but there is some nice value here on both sites.
Aliyah BostonINDMIN1060032.69840033.65
I wish her price hadn't gone up so much, but it is hard to argue with 41.6 fppg over her last four games. Boston averaged 38.0 fantasy points in two games against Minnesota and with NaLyssa Smith back in the lineup, Boston should be safe.

Ezi MagbegorSEAATL950032.95760033.74
Basically none of the forwards on this slate are safe after Alyssa Thomas and Napheesa Collier. At least Magbegor has a good matchup and a high ceilling. Atlanta has allowed the second-most fantasy points to forwards and Magbegor has topped 40 fantasy points in two of her last six games.
