Without further ado, let’s dive into the Week 17 DFS WR Coach, exclusively at Fantasy Alarm!

NFL DFS Week 17 WR Coach for Fanduel & DraftKings Fantasy

Thin slate here, ladies and gents! To put in perspective, Chris Olave and Michael Wilson are the third- and sixth-highest priced receivers on this week’s main slate! With nine games to choose from, we sifted through the data and crunched the numbers. I’ve identified my favorite plays at the position this week, and there should be a receiver or two at every price point to give you plenty of options when building your NFL DFS lineups this week, headlined by AJ Brown of the Philadelphia Eagles.

NFL Week 17 Wide Receivers

This is a living, breathing resource, and it will be updated as the week goes on, based on injury news, practice reports, etc. By Sunday, you may see some players removed who were earlier featured, or perhaps some players added as we approach Sunday kickoff.

NFL DFS WR Top Tier Picks for Week 17

Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals - DraftKings: $8,300 | FanDuel: $9,400

If Arizona is going to continue to sit in two-high safeties, it’s going to be a big day for Chase. He’s posted 2.22 yards per route run and 0.24 targets per route run on the season against two-high safeties, per FantasyPoints Data. Not only does he have 8+ targets in 11 straight games, but he’s posted 100+ yards in three of his last four! Arizona is beat up, and this game total is well north of 50! We love Chase in [potential] shootouts!

Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints - DraftKings: $7,200 | FanDuel: $8,100

Tyler Shough gives Olave ample targets, and we want to see that again in this matchup! He’s averaging 10 targets per game over his last five, and this matchup against Tennessee is JUICY! Tennessee plays Cover 3 at a top-10 rate in the NFL, per FantasyPoints Data, and Olave has posted 2.77 yards per route run and over 12 yards per reception! Tennessee boasts a solid rush defense, and it’s a big reason as to why no team has a higher pass rate over expectation against than the Titans (6.3%).

Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers - DraftKings: $6,500 | FanDuel: $8,300

In two games since returning from injury, Evans has commanded 47.6% of the team’s air yards, 31.7% target share, and 3.40 yards per route run, per FantasyPoints Data. That’s elite usage, ladies and gents! He’s been productive this year against two-high safeties, and his 0.32 targets per route run against zone coverage projects well in this matchup. Sure, he only had 31 yards last week, but he found the end zone. Not sure I’m trusting him in cash, but he could be interesting in tournaments, as ownership should be lower.

NFL DFS WR Mid-Tier Picks for NFL Week 17

Stefon Diggs - DraftKings: $5,800 | FanDuel: $6,500

Over his last five games, 72.3% of Diggs' routes have come from the slot, resulting in a 7.2 average depth of target (aDOT), 89.5% catch rate, and 2.09 yards per route run, per FantasyPoints Data. Over the last six weeks, the Jets have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points per game to slot receivers, per FantasyPoints Data! Undrafted rookie free agent Jordan Clark has stepped up into the primary slot corner for the Jets, and over the last three weeks, he’s allowed a 128.1 passer rating when targeted, per Pro Football Focus (PFF).

Brian Thomas, Jacksonville Jaguars - DraftKings: $5,200 | FanDuel: $6,300

I like Jakobi Meyers in this spot as well, so keep him in consideration at just $100 more on DK! However, I’m going to call out Thomas here, because his new “role” on this team projects quite well in this AFC South matchup. From Weeks 12-16, Thomas has posted 2.10 yards per route run versus man coverage and 2.30 yards per route run versus single-high safety looks, per FantasyPoints Data. Indianapolis ranks inside the top-12 in the NFL in man coverage (8th) and single-high safety looks (11th) over the last six weeks, per FantasyPoints Data. The Colts have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per game to perimeter receivers over the last six weeks, and despite logging just three receptions the last time these two teams met, those three grabs went for 87 yards.

Wan’Dale Robinson, New York Giants - DraftKings: $5,700 | FanDuel: $6,100

Robinson and Jaxson Dart let us down last week, but I don’t think it will happen again. He’s averaging nearly 10 targets per game over his last six, and Robinson’s 2.47 yards per route run against zone over the last five weeks projects really, really well against Las Vegas’ zone-heavy defensive scheme. They play Cover 3 more than any team in the league, and Robinson has posted 2.20 yards per route run and a 29.3% target share against Cover 3 this season, per FantasyPoints Data.

NFL Week 17 DFS WR Value Picks

Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts - DraftKings: $4,200 | FanDuel: $5,600

Over his last four games, he’s posted a healthy 2.11 yards per route run and 0.52 fantasy points per route run against two-high safeties, per FantasyPoints Data. Jacksonville has been playing a good bit of two-high safeties in recent weeks, and beyond that, they have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to slot receivers over the last six weeks! Through two Philip Rivers starts, Downs is averaging seven targets per game.

Jack Bech, Las Vegas Raiders - DraftKings: $3,700 | FanDuel: $5,200

How about a dart throw here? With Brock Bowers done for the season, the Raiders will need someone to step up in the pass game. The Raiders should look to their younger players, and Bech was a second-round pick in this year’s draft! His snap share is on the up and up, and he’s received at least three targets in four straight games. Now, for this matchup, he’s got some big play ability in him, and if the Giants are going to continue their recent trend of increased single-high usage, that plays out well for Bech, who has posted 2.48 yards per route run against single-high safety looks in 2025, per FantasyPoints Data. Again, it’s a dart throw, but there’s some intrigue with the rookie this week.

NFL DFS WR Fade for Week 17

Khalil Shakir, Buffalo Bills - DraftKings: $5,100 | FanDuel: $5,700

I like Shakir, and in the right matchups, he’s a fine target, especially on DraftKings with the PPR scoring. However, slot receivers haven’t had much success against the Eagles of late, as only the Bengals have allowed fewer fantasy points per game to slot receivers over the last weeks than the Eagles, per FantasyPoints Data. Since his big game against the Texans in Week 12, a slightly more favorable matchup out of the slot than this week’s foe, Shakir has averaged just three receptions for 30 yards on four targets over the last four games. While it’s a potentially fun game environment, the slot isn’t quite the way to attack this defense.

NFL Week 17 WR Play of The Week

A.J. Brown, Philadelphia Eagles - DraftKings: $7,000 | FanDuel: $8,600

Brown has been getting elite usage of late, and Buffalo is the type of offense that could force Philly to HAVE to throw the ball and put up points to stay in it. Over the last five games, Brown has a 37.1% first-read rate and 3.03 yards per route run, per FantasyPoints Data. He’s outpacing fellow wideout DeVonta Smith in numerous statistical categories against two-high safety looks, which is the shell Buffalo has played nearly two-thirds of the time over the last month and a half. Brown has posted 2.03 yards per route run against two-high safeties over the last six weeks, per FantasyPoints Data, and overall, he’s recorded at least 10 targets in five of his last six games. He did get his wisdom teeth out this week, however, so we just need to be sure that it won’t impact him beyond a couple of missed practices during the week.
