Best NFL Survivor Pool Strategy & Picks For Week 15: Ravens, Commanders, More
It’s NFL Week 15 and you’re still making survivor pool picks? Oh baby! Sounds like you’re working with the best survivor pool strategy and it’s serving you well. Let’s keep that momentum rolling.
With only four picks to go (five if you’re playing in Circa Survivor) before you’re swimming through mountains of gold coins like you’re Scrooge McDuck, the pressure is on. Having been in this very same spot before, I can assure you that stress and anxiety are not your friends. You have to find ways to distract yourself.
Last year, I spent an entire Sunday glued to my desk chair watching and waiting and I made myself sick. I advanced thanks to an overtime punt return for a touchdown by the Ravens, but the stomach-ache was not helpful, and the stress was not why I won. Be good to yourself. I get that the payouts can be huge, but your mental well-being is more important.
Just stick to your plan, utilize the best survivor pool strategy you’ve been using and make your survivor pool picks just the same as you’ve done each week. If you’ve been tailing these survivor pool picks, then you already know we hit with all three picks. The Eagles made us sweat it out against the Panthers, but a win is a win.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were never really in doubt during the game, but the good ol’ Bengals gave you flashbacks to Weeks 1 and 3 when they blew up survivor pools everywhere, including my chances of winning Circa Survivor. Hopefully you don’t have to lean on them anymore. Especially this week when they face their old offensive coordinator, Brian Callahan.
Let’s dive into the best survivor pool strategy for Week 15 and start making picks.
Best NFL Survivor Pool Strategy for 2024 NFL Week 15
Obviously, if you’re in Circa Survivor you have to be sure to hold back a team or two playing on the Christmas Day slate. Otherwise, we can move forward with the best survivor pool strategy. We’ll take a look at the points spreads, the Vegas money lines and then see who is at home.
We’ve used road teams before, depending on the weekly match-up, but home teams are usually my preference, though this week might be a road week depending on who you have available. I also don’t want weather to factor into the outcome of any team I use for my survivor pool picks, so be sure to always check the weather.
Time to make those NFL Week 15 survivor pool picks!
NFL Survivor Pool Picks for Week 15
Baltimore Ravens (-16 Road Favorite; -1400 Money Line)
The Ravens are coming off a bye and are looking to start building that momentum as they head towards the NFL playoffs. They are operating at full speed while the Giants are now going back to Tommy DeVito under center.
The Giants are also dealing with significant injuries on defense. Despite it being a road game, this is my lock pick of the week. The money line says it all.
Washington Commanders (-7.5 Road Favorite; -400 Money Line)
Another road favorite coming off a bye week and another great survivor pool pick, in my opinion. The Saints just lost Derek Carr and now we’re hearing that Alvin Kamara is questionable for the game.
The Commanders have been one of the biggest surprises of the season and Jayden Daniels is still the leading candidate for Offensive Rookie of the Year. This team should be able to go into the Big Easy and come away with a big win.
Minnesota Vikings (-7 Home Favorite; -350 Money Line)
The best home-favorite pick on the slate for me and I am happy to use the Vikings who are looking to keep pace with the Lions for supremacy in the NFC North. Sam Darnold made it through the rough patch a few weeks ago and is now in lockstep with his receivers.
You also have a healthy Aaron Jones able to run the football against this Bears run-funnel defense. The Bears are definitely building something for their future, but the time is now for Minnesota.
Atlanta Falcons (-4 Road Favorite; -205 Money Line)
One more solid road favorite if the aforementioned teams are unavailable to you. Yes, the Falcons are reeling right now with a four-game losing streak and Kirk Cousins hasn’t thrown a touchdown pass in that span of games, but the Raiders are still riding the struggle bus and will continue to do so, especially if it’s Desmond Ridder under center.
You can cite the revenge-game narrative all you like, but the Falcons know exactly who he is and have the defense to shut him down.
Best of luck in Week 15 and I’ll see you for more survivor pool picks and the best survivor pool strategy in Week 16!
