Bears vs. Eagles DFS Picks & Black Friday Football Playbook, 11/28: DraftKings & FanDuel
Published: Nov 28, 2025
For the second straight year, the NFL is giving us Black Friday Football and for the sophomore edition of this new tradition (sweet rhyme, I know) we’ll see the Chicago Bears head to Lincoln Financial Field to take on the Philadelphia Eagles. Both teams enter this matchup at 8-3 and this game has a lot of meaning in terms of the NFC playoff standings and seeding. So let’s digest and recover from yesterday’s food and beverages with some more NFL action. Here are the latest Bears vs. Eagles DFS picks for Friday afternoon’s Black Friday Football action on Amazon Prime Video!
Bears vs. Eagles DFS Picks & Preview: Black Friday Football, 11/28
Amazon Prime Video is the host for the second annual Black Friday Football game as Week 13 doesn’t just deliver football on Thanksgiving. We get an extra game on Black Friday and all 32 teams are in action for Week 13.
For this particular matchup we get a pair of 8-3 teams in the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles currently have the 2-seed for the NFC playoffs while the Bears have the 3-seed. Not only could this shake up the seeding a bit but this is a potential NFC Divisional Round matchup preview.
The Bears have recently seen some of their young rookies emerge on offense with larger roles for Kyle Monangai, Luther Burdern III, and Colston Loveland. Can they secure their 9th in win in 10 weeks to overtake the 2-seed from Philadelphia? Or will the Eagles bounce back after last week’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys and find themselves in position to contend for the top seed in the NFC with the Los Angeles Rams? Let’s take a look at Friday’s Bears vs. Eagles DFS picks for this year’s Black Friday Football game!

NFL Weather: Bears vs. Eagles Black Friday Football, November 28th
Temperatures will be in the low 40’s right around kickoff and slowly drop as the game progresses. The skies will be clear for our NFL DFS Black Friday Football picks, but the big concern will be the wind. It’s possible we’ll see winds ranging from 15-20 miles per hour with gusts up to 25 so that is a slight downgrade to kickers but I’m not quite yet ready to avoid the aerial weapons on either team.
Bears vs. Eagles Injuries: Black Friday Football Week 13
A lot of the injuries for the Chicago Bears are coming on the defensive side of the ball. Jaylon Johnson is going to be activated to the 53-man roster and he’s due to make his return. Additionally, Kyler Gordon is questionable but he’s trending towards playing after being listed as a full participant in Thursday’s practice session. But the Bears have also ruled out T.J. Edwards, Ruben Hyppolite II, Dominique Robinson, Noah Sewell, and Tyrique Stevenson.
The Philadelphia Eagles have ruled out Lane Johnson due to his foot injury and they’ll also declare Myles Hinton and Xavier Gipson as inactive for this game. DeVonta Smith did pop up on the injury report earlier in the week with an illness in addition to chest/shoulder injuries. But he was a full participant in practice on Thursday and we should expect him to play without limitations on Friday.
NFL Black Friday Football DFS Picks: MVP/Captain
Jalen Hurts, QB, Philadelphia Eagles - DraftKings: $11,600 | FanDuel: $13,000
The analysis is simple with Hurts, we want the rushing upside. He’s scored three rushing touchdowns in his last two games. It doesn’t matter if they’re natural rushing touchdowns or coming via the tush push, they count for our NFL DFS Showdown lineups.
On the season, the Bears are allowing the 5th most rushing yards per game (138.1) and that number inflates to 156.7 over their last three games. Hurts’ rushing abilities and the touchdown equity put him firmly in play to return 24+ fantasy points which is the ceiling we want from our NFL DFS captain candidates for Showdown slates.
Hurts’ passing numbers do fluctuate depending on the matchup and if A.J. Brown has complained enough in the week leading up to the game. He’s only 13th among qualified quarterbacks in EPA/Play (0.13) but he’s 4th in completion percentage over expected (4.6%), 1st in turnover-worthy play rate (1.0%), and he’s 3rd in average depth of target (9.0). It’s a strong matchup as quarterbacks have racked up production on the Bears all season so Hurts is once again in play as a Captain candidate.
Caleb Williams, QB, Chicago Bears - DraftKings: $10,800 | FanDuel: $12,600
I still have accuracy concerns with Williams because since the team’s week off way back in Week 5, he has only one game completing over 60% of his passes. And that’s a bit alarming because in training camp, Ben Johnson emphasized that he wanted Williams completing at least 70% of his pass attempts.
But wins tend to mask any and all deficiencies and the Bears have won eight of their last nine games. Depending on the matchup, there is potential for Williams to hit the 300-yard mark for the passing bonus on DraftKings. He hasn’t done it yet this year, but he’s come close and he’s shown the ability to throw for at least three touchdowns in a game.
The Eagles also don’t boast the best pass rush either. They’re 29th in blitz rate (18.8%), 25th in sack rate (5.2%), and 21st in pass rush win rate (36%). Williams has also been doing more as a rusher with 20+ rushing yards in five straight games. This is a statement game for the Bears in a hostile environment. It could be a signature win for Williams in his young career and there’s tremendous upside as some of his younger weapons are beginning to emerge as well.
Saquon Barkley, RB, Philadelphia Eagles – DraftKings: $10,600 | FanDuel: $12,200
When the Eagles last appeared on the featured Showdown slate against the Lions on Sunday Night Football in Week 11, I kept Barkley out of the Captain section. I just didn’t feel great about the matchup against Detroit and despite touching the ball 27 times, Barkley finished with just 10 fantasy points.
I’m changing my tune a bit for our NFL DFS Black Friday picks. Since Philadelphia’s Bye week, they’re still feeding Barkley as he’s averaged 23 touches per game over the last three weeks. But he hasn’t found the end zone since his “revenge game” against the New York Giants in Week 8.
I think that changes in Week 13. And better yet, I think the recent production may lower his ownership at Captain ever so slightly. The volume is clearly there and he even had seven receptions in Week 12. DeVonta Smith is a bit beat up and the Bears run defense ranks 27th in rush success rate (44.7%), 28th in stuffed run rate (14.9%), and 31st in yards before contact per attempt (2.12) so this is a phenomenal bounce back spot for Barkley on a short week.
NFL Black Friday Football DFS Picks: Core Plays
A.J. Brown, WR, Philadelphia Eagles – DraftKings: $9,600 | FanDuel: $11,600
Brown has benefitted in recent weeks from an increased role in the offense and it seems like the Eagles are just willing to keep their star receiver content as they’ve gotten him double-digit targets in back-to-back games but he had some choice words about both his and Barkley’s production which probably doesn’t sit well with the front office.
DeVonta Smith has also been seeing good production, but he’s also dealing with a combination of chest/shoulder injuries and an illness. So they’re taking a conservative approach with Smith and holding him out of practice while I anticipate he still plays. Update: Smith didn’t appear on Thursday’s injury report so he’s good to go for this matchup.
Brown may get a little more attention because of this and if the Eagles want to maintain their position over the Bears in the NFC playoff standings, they better get their best players involved in this matchup.
Now I am going against my own thought processes by putting him in this section. Because of Brown’s production volatility, I normally prefer playing him at Captain or not playing him at all. But in this matchup, and with the recent target numbers, I think there’s a good floor/ceiling combination where he can be considered in the flex as well.
Kyle Monangai, RB, Chicago Bears – DraftKings: $5,600 | FanDuel: $8,200
I know that this is a “revenge game” for D’Andre Swift because he played one season in Philadelphia. But I also don’t want to overrate him simply because of that. Swift had an untimely fumble last week. Prior to the fumble, Swift had a 61% snap rate to Kyle Monangai’s 39%. After the fumble, Monangai saw 63% of the snaps to Swift’s 35% and Monangai had five snaps in the red zone compared to one for Swift.
This is a matchup the Bears just need to ride the hot hand and this is a tough matchup for both if we’re being completely honest. But there are recent trends on Chicago’s offense with younger players emerging. And I want to lean into that when building NFL DFS Showdown lineups for this matchup because the savings we get with the Chicago rookies allow us to spend up for multiple studs.
Luther Burden, WR, Chicago Bears – DraftKings: $3,800 | FanDuel: $4,200
More recently I’ve been feeling good about including some real affordable value plays as core play suggestions. We’re going with two Bears based on recent trends. And this was kind of the expectation for Chicago. With young players like Monangai, Burden, and even Colston Loveland, we were sort of expecting a post-Bye week rookie bump for all three.
Burden has taken over the slot reps from Olamide Zaccheaus and he possesses some elite speed that helps him gain separation from defenders. He only had five targets this past week, but I don’t particularly love the matchups for DJ Moore and Rome Odunze. I especially don’t like Odunze’s matchup against Quinyon Mitchell.
I get the sense that Philly will challenge Chicago to win by utilizing their emerging rookies in this matchup and Burden has tremendous upside and explosiveness. He just needs a little more volume.
NFL Black Friday Football DFS Picks: Mid-Tier Plays
Rome Odunze, WR, Chicago Bears – DraftKings: $9,000 | FanDuel: $9,400
I’ll be completely honest, Odunze’s only making this article because of the recent volume. This matchup absolutely sucks. He’ll likely be shadowed by Quinyon Mitchell. Per Mike Clay of ESPN, Mitchell has shadowed the opposing offense’s top perimeter receiver six times this season and the average production has come out to roughly 11.8 fantasy points per game. Now George Pickens had himself a day in Week 12 against Philadelphia. So Odunze can have a big game but it’s a tough environment to play in.
I do like the volume that he’s coming in with. He has 25 targets in his last three games. Over his last five games, he has at least three games with 9+ targets. The touchdown equity has really dropped off since the team’s early Bye week and at this price, I don’t consider him a lock. Other weapons are emerging for Chicago and I’d probably look to save some salary with them.
DeVonta Smith, WR, Philadelphia Eagles - DraftKings: $8,600 | FanDuel: $10,200
Smith is a late addition to the article. A healthy portion of this piece was written Thursday morning before the Thursday injury reports came out. But now that Smith was listed as a full participant, we can lean into this matchup for our Bears vs. Eagles DFS picks.
Over Smith’s last seven games he’s seeing roughly eight targets per game, with three games in that span with double-digit targets. I still give slight preferential treatment to A.J. Brown for $1,000 on DraftKings for his ability to win more contested catches. But with Smith off the injury report we can play him with a little more confidence.
DJ Moore, WR, Chicago Bears – DraftKings: $8,000 | FanDuel: $7,600
Moore’s week-to-week production is hard to trust. In Weeks 10 and 11 he combined to catch one reception on seven targets for 18 yards. Then last week he caught five-of-seven targets for 64 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Since the team’s Week 5 Bye week he’s at least averaging more fantasy points (11.1) than Rome Odunze (9.1) and his catch rate (56%) is better than Odunze’s as well (44%). But Colston Loveland is emerging as well with an 81% catch rate since the team’s Bye week. So I am hesitant with these receivers on Chicago because I do really like the value we’re getting on the rookies.
NFL Black Friday Football DFS Picks: Value Plays
Dallas Goedert, TE, Philadelphia Eagles – DraftKings: $5,200 | FanDuel: $7,000
Goedert’s in a good spot for our NFL Black Friday Football DFS picks on DraftKings and FanDuel. The Bears won’t have starting linebackers T.J. Edwards and Noah Sewell. They’ll also be without depth piece linebacker Ruben Hyppolite II and Tyrique Stevenson has been ruled out. So all in all, the secondary is hurting especially over the middle of the field.
Since Week 6, the Bears have given up 10+ fantasy points to opposing tight ends on five occasions so they were already struggling to defend the position even at full strength.
Goedert is arguably a core play at this price with this matchup. But he only has 19 targets over his last five games and the tight end position is very dependent on finding the end zone so I’m happy to play him as a flex option, but I can’t quite lock him in as a core play recommendation.
Colston Loveland, TE, Chicago Bears – DraftKings: $4,400 | FanDuel: $5,800
The value plays section is going to look somewhat barren and thin but remember, there are two value plays listed above in the Core Plays section. I was tempted to also put Loveland up there, but alas, I have to acknowledge this is indeed a tough matchup.
Over his last five games, Loveland ranks top five among all tight ends in receiving yards (300), drops (0), touchdowns (3), yards after catch (133), first downs (12), and missed tackles forced (5) on just 25 total targets.
The Eagles have defended opposing tight ends very well this year and haven’t given up a ton of production. But Ferguson did snag five receptions for 60 yards last week. Loveland has even reminded us all why he was the first tight end drafted in the 2025 NFL Draft. I love the value add upside, but I don’t have enough confidence to list him above with Monangai and Burden.
Black Friday Football DFS Picks: Kickers & D/ST
The NFL games on Thanksgiving were brutal for the D/ST position. It would’ve ultimately been better if DraftKings and FanDuel left the D/ST’s off the slate. Fortunately, this Black Friday Football game has a more manageable game total at 44.5 points as of Thursday night. The hometown Eagles are favored by seven points so that puts their D/ST firmly in play.
I don’t particularly want to play the Bears D/ST. They are getting Jaylon Johnson back for this game but they’re missing some other key pieces as we’ve already acknowledged. And the Eagles have an implied team total over 25 points.
The Eagles D/ST is in play even if their pass rush is suspect at times. Their defense ranks 4th in completion percentage over expected (-5.1%) and 8th in both defensive EPA/Pass (-0.06) and pass success rate (41.9%). Given Caleb Williams’ struggles to complete over 60% of his pass attempts, this is a spot we can play the Birds on defense.
Jake Elliott is a tough sell for most NFL DFS Showdown slates. He has two games all year where he’s made multiple field goals. And he only has three games all season with multiple field goal attempts. He hasn’t made a field goal of 50+ yards since Week 2 and he’s only made three from 40+ yards out in that time frame. The ceiling is capped and the floor makes it hard to justify the price tag when we can simply pivot to any of the other value options on the slate.
Cairo Santos is the preferred kicker for this slate for obvious reasons. There’s simply more volume available to us. Santos missed Weeks 6 and 7. And yet, since Week 4 he still has four games with double-digit points. In each of those games he attempted at least three field goal attempts. So if the Bears can keep this competitive, he’ll get opportunities and over half his converted field goal attempts this year have come from 40+ yards out.
