NFL DFS Week 4 RB Coach: De’Von Achane, James Cook, J.K. Dobbins
Welcome to the NFL DFS Week 4 RB Coach article!! Isiah Pacheco, Chase Brown, and Alvin Kamara were all busts, but I did give you some good suggestions. Jordan Mason, who was my pick of the week, delivered as promised, and James Cook and Jonathan Taylor continued their impressive starts to the 2025 season.
It may be a while before I include Pacheco and Brown in my DFS lineups, but Kamara’s days as an effective NFL DFS RB option are not yet done.
NFL Week 4 NFL DFS RBs
Admittedly, there are almost as many NFL DFS RBs that I’m avoiding this week compared to the ones I feel strongly about. I was going to start Kenneth Walker, but Zach Charbonnet has been a full participant in practice so far this week, so I think I’ll watch them cannibalize each other’s Week 4 fantasy value from my couch.
Trey Benson and Cam Skattebo, who will make their debut as their team’s featured backs this week, will almost certainly be part of my future NFL DFS lineups, but I’m holding off for now. Benson is facing a stingy Seattle Seahawks run defense. They’ve given up the second-most receptions to NFL DFS RBs this season, but only 3.16 YPC on the ground. Skattebo takes on an even stingier Los Angeles Chargers run defense that has given up the fourth fewest rushing yards (167) to NFL DFS RBs this season.
This is also not the week that I want to pay up for Detroit Lions NFL DFS RBs Jahmyr Gibbs or David Montgomery. They take on the Cleveland Browns, who, in their first three games, have allowed the fewest rushing yards (128) to NFL DFS RBs.
As you’ll see, I am ready to take a chance on using a few rookie NFL DFS RBs in my DFS lineups this week. Let’s see if they can help us win some cash this week! The following are my favorite NFL DFS RBs for Week 4.
NFL DFS RB Top-Tier Picks For Week 4
De’Von Achane, RB, Miami Dolphins
DraftKings: $7,000 | FanDuel: $7,700
Achane has had good success against the New York Jets, his Week 4 opponent. He’s played parts of three games against them, and he’s averaging 5.21 YPC. He also has nine catches, and Achane has scored two rushing TDs against them. For the most part, the Jets’ run defense, aside from the 132 rushing yards they gave up to James Cook in Week 2, has been pretty good. However, Achane has been a huge part of the Dolphins’ offense, playing an average of just over 81% of the team’s offensive snaps this season. When healthy, like he is now, Achane is just too good to be contained. He’s averaging 4.9 YPC, and Achane has been a big part of the Dolphins’ pass offense as well. He has 19 targets and 15 catches over the past two weeks.
James Cook, RB, Buffalo Bills
DraftKings: $7,100 | FanDuel: $8,500
Having most recently played on Thursday night against the Miami Dolphins, Cook III will be well rested for what appears to be a very good home matchup against the New Orleans Saints. TD regression is clearly not in Cook’s vocabulary, as he has now scored TDs in seven consecutive regular-season games dating back to last season. The Saints have already given up four total TDs to NFL DFS RBs this season, and game script calls for the Bills to have a comfortable lead by the second half. From that point on, they’ll likely rely on their run game to close out what will likely be a lopsided victory, providing plenty of opportunities for Cook III to pad his Week 4 stats.
NFL DFS RB Mid-Tier Picks For Week 4
J.K. Dobbins, RB, Denver Broncos
DraftKings: $5,800 | FanDuel: $6,600
Dobbins has had a surprisingly strong start to the 2025 season, averaging 5.4 YPC, and he has already rushed for three TDs. He has a very good upcoming matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Minnesota Vikings NFL DFS RB Jordan Mason torched the Bengals run defense in Week 3, gaining 7.2 YPC and scoring two TDs against them. Dobbins should be able to take advantage of a Bengals run defense that has given up the second-most total TDs to NFL DFS RBs this season, and the second-highest average fantasy points per game (30.1) to the position in PPR scoring.
Ashton Jeanty, RB, Las Vegas Raiders
DraftKings: $6,200 | FanDuel: $6,800
I’m calling for an Ashton Jeanty breakout game against the Chicago Bears! Sure, Jeanty has gotten off to a slow start, but he is still the Raiders’ RB1, and his DFS salary has finally reached a point where I’m comfortable taking a chance on adding him to my NFL DFS lineups. Based on his usage this season, we know Jeanty will have the opportunity to punish the Bears’ weak run defense and earn his DFS salary in Week 4. Jeanty played more than twice as many snaps as any other Raider RB in Week 3, and he has led the Raiders in carries in every game so far this season. With the Bears giving up 5.34 YPC to NFL DFS RBs as well as the sixth most receptions to the position, Jeanty should be able to exploit the Bears' run defense and show the Raiders’ home crowd why he was worth a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
NFL DFS RB Value Picks For Week 4
Jaylen Warren, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers
DraftKings: $5,400 | FanDuel: $6,300
Warren takes on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4. The Vikings did keep Cincinnati Bengals RB Chase Brown in check in Week 3, but a lot of that was probably the result of the Bengals’ horrible offensive line. Prior to Week 3, the Vikings gave up 4.95 YPC to NFL DFS RBs in their first two games. Warren's snap count percentage has shown a consistent upward trend this season, reaching a season-high of 79.3% in Week 3. He has a very modest 3.1 YPC average, but his 11 catches out of the backfield are the fifth most for NFL DFS RBs.
Breece Hall, RB, New York Jets
DraftKings: $5,700 | FanDuel: $6,800
After two straight small weeks, Hall’s Week 4 DFS salary is his lowest of the season. Hall’s carries have declined for two straight games, but that was largely because the Jets were playing from behind for a big chunk of their last two matchups. He is still the Jets’ primary NFL DFS RB, and he faces the Miami Dolphins in Week 4; they’ve been a friendly foe over the years. Hall has averaged 4.44 YPC and has 13 catches for 145 yards in four career games against the Dolphins. Hall should be in line for a bounce-back game against “The Fins”, who have given up 4.5 YPC and 15 catches (7th most in the NFL) to NFL DFS RBs.
Quinshon Judkins, RB, Cleveland Browns
DraftKings: $5,500 | FanDuel: $6,300
Judkins does look like the real deal, and his snap count and carries have significantly increased from Week 2 to Week 3, showing that he’s probably capable of taking on a full workload in Week 4. He takes on the Detroit Lions in Week 4, who have given up a TD to NFL DFS RBs in each of their first three games. Based on Judkins’ early success and the limitations of their passing attack, look for the Browns to continue to make Judkins a focal part of their offensive scheme. He should provide a good return on his modest DFS salary in Week 4.
NFL DFS Week 4 RB Play of the Week
Omarion Hampton, RB, Los Angeles Chargers
DraftKings: $5,900 | FanDuel: $7,000
With Najee Harris out for the rest of the season (Achilles), Hampton will be the Chargers’ primary NFL DFS RB in Week 4. Hampton is coming off a good Week 3 performance, and he has a great matchup against the New York Giants. The Giants are giving up 5.18 YPC to RBs and the fifth-highest fantasy points per game average in PPR scoring this season. The Chargers may not be running as much as they did last season, but they’ll likely have their matchup against the Giants in hand by the second half. That will cause them to feed Hampton the ball in the second half as they wind down the clock on what will be a probable victory.
