NFL DFS Week 4 QB Coach: Lamar Jackson, Justin Herbert, Geno Smith
Week 4 of the 2025 NFL season is here and we are making money over on DraftKings and FanDuel!
Each week we look to focus on quarterbacks who can deliver big points.Â
This week’s top picks are centered around Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson against the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers’ Justin Herbert versus the New York Giants, and Las Vegas Raiders’ Geno Smith facing the Chicago Bears.Â
Below, we break down the best matchups, values and players to fade to help you build winning DFS lineups.

NFL DFS QB Top Tier Picks for Week 4
Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
Listen, if you want to play Josh Allen against the Saints this week I have absolutely NO PROBLEM with doing so. The Bills are going to win that game by 40 points and I think there is a legit chance that Josh Allen doesn't finish this game.Â
So, why not go with Lamar Jackson in what should be a more competitive matchup against the Chiefs?Â
The Lions defense smothered Jackson last week towards the end, sacking him seven times.Â
But you know what else? He also had 288 yards passing and three touchdowns while adding 35 yards on the ground.Â
The Ravens offense has scored 40, 41 and 30 points through the first three weeks of the season and while the Chiefs run defense has been solid this season, their pass defense has left much to be desired.
Justin Herbert, Los Angeles ChargersÂ
The Chargers are throwing the football a ton which is not something anyone would have expected to come from a Greg Roman offense but with Keenan Allen looking like the player he was before leaving the Chargers, Quentin Johnston looking like a former first round pick and Ladd McConkey still uncoverable over the middle of the field we see Herbert doing some damage through the air.Â
Add in the fact that the team lost veteran RB Najee Harris to a torn ACL and I just don't think we see the offense get completely turned over to a rookie RB in Omarion Hampton.Â
This week's matchup against the Giants doesn't seem like it will be all too competitive, especially with rookie QB Jaxson Dart making his debut for New York but I still think we get two+ touchdown passes and some sneaky rushing yards out of Herbert in this one.

NFL DFS QB Mid-Tier Picks for NFL Week 4
Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
How about the other side of that Baltimore Ravens matchup? Xavier Worthy has been a full practice participant this week and looks like he will be returning to the Chiefs lineup.Â
The Chiefs have seemingly solved the puzzle with former second-round pick Tyquan Thornton that New England couldn't figure out and have turned him into a legitimate downfield weapon for Patrick Mahomes and we still see Travis Kelce making plays. The Chiefs running game sucks which only puts more pressure on the arm of Mahomes.
Remember when I told you all the points the Ravens have scored this season? What if I told you they LOST two of those games? Yeah, the Bills hung 41 points and the Lions scored 38 against their defense.Â
This feels like a big week could be coming for Mahomes if we get the shootout we think we will get
Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
Last week Caleb Williams had an elite matchup against the Dallas Cowboys and boy did he deliver, throwing for 298 yards and four touchdowns.Â
This week the Bears are on the road against a Raiders pass defense that is also not very good.Â
We trust this Ben Johnson offense to kick into high gear and boy this Bears offense has the playmakers at the wide receiver position to make Williams an elite play this week if things really start to click like they did against Dallas last weekend.

NFL Week 4 DFS QB Value Picks
Drake Maye, New England Patriots
So, what if I told you that Drake Maye hasn't been the problem for the Patriots? Sure, as the QB he gets put under a microscope and the media will certainly put the blame on him for fumbling the football as they should but he's also completing over 70% of his passes and has a QB Rating over 100 for the season. From a DFS perspective he's finished with 21 and 26 fantasy points over the last two weeks. At one point against the Steelers he completed 13 straight passes and we know he has the rushing upside to help his fantasy value.
This week the Patriots are again at home and taking on a Panthers defense that is riding high after shutting out the Falcons and while their pass defense is pretty strong with Jaycee Horn leading the way, I'm not shying away from Maye with a Josh McDaniels gameplan.Â
Geno Smith, Las Vegas Raiders
Maybe my favorite play of the week here. Smith has proven capable of throwing the football 40+ times when necessary and this week could be one of those weeks with the Raiders back home with a matchup against the Bears on tap.
I talked about how good the Bears offense looked last week against the Cowboys but the Bears defense also continues to give it up to their opponent as well.
Smith is coming off a three touchdown performance against the Commanders where he threw for 289 yards. No, I'm not expecting Tre Tucker to explode again but I do think this game ends up being pretty back and forth and the Raiders have some very intriguing players catching the football this season, not to mention Brock Bowers also exists on this offense.
Jaxson Dart, New York Giants
I honestly waivered back and forth as to whether or not I put him here or in the Fades section of this article and truthfully I'm still not fully committed.Â
The lone appeal here is just the price tag. He's not min-price like other QB's have been in recent weeks but he is still as close to min-price as you can get as a starting QB.
The matchup against the Chargers is not a good one. They have an elite pass rush and a good secondary. Again, I'm really not 100% sold here. It's just that at his price tag and with his ability to run the football, it wouldn't take much for him to pay off the value, even if he ends up getting points late in garbage time.

NFL DFS QB Fades for Week 4
Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
No Mike Evans but he could be getting Chris Godwin back this week. That's all well and good but Godwin will absolutely be on a snap count and the Tampa offensive line has taken hits. A matchup against the Eagles just doesn't seem like the spot we look to use Mayfield here this week.
