Nothing better than starting a year off strong with a fantasy football trophy, your team in the playoffs, and getting to watch backups like Tanner McKee and Trey Lance take the field. Absolutely electric.

For the NFL Week 18 Schedule, we have all 32 teams playing in 16 games. With Week 18 here, we only have Saturday and Sunday matchups, so lock in! NFL Week 18 Picks Against The Spread: Carolina Panthers +3 (-118 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

If you had told me before the season that this Week 18 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers would be for the NFC South crown and the final NFC playoff spot, I would have told you that you are crazy. And if you had told me I would be picking the Carolina Panthers in this game, I would say that you are out of your MIND. But here we are. Since a dominant first half of the season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 1-7 since Week 10, with their only victory coming by three points against a three-win Arizona Cardinals team. What was once one of my favorite rosters on paper has not proven anything since their bye week, and I have no clue why they are favored here.

Meanwhile, one of the teams that I thought was still a season away from the playoffs are absolutely playing their hearts out with a postseason berth hanging in the balance. Bryce Young has shown a clutch factor in games, their run game has become more reliable with Rico Dowdle, and their defense has had flashes of brilliance with stars like Derrick Brown and Jaycee Horn. The Panthers are emerging while the Bucs are regressing. 

Just two weeks ago, this Panthers team was able to pull off a three-point victory against this same Buccaneers squad, so a three-point cushion for a team that seemingly wins every other week seems perfect for us to take here. 

 

 

 

NFL Week 18 Picks Against The Spread: Commanders +4.5 (-124 at DraftKings Sportsbook)

This one is simple for me: the Eagles are resting their starters, and the Commanders are not. Yes, the Commanders are banged up and have the worse record and roster, but these are still starters in the NFL vs. backups! I love Tanner McKee as much as the next guy, but a backup quarterback is going up against a very experienced roster and a defensive-minded head coach in Dan Quinn. 

Let's not forget that this same Commanders team put up a fight against the Eagles' STARTERS just a few weeks ago in a game where they needed to resort to their third-string quarterback halfway through the game. Despite the record, this Commanders team still has plenty of fight left in them against an Eagles team starting players who likely haven't seen meaningful playing time since the preseason. I like the Commanders to cover 4.5 fairly comfortably.
