NFL Picks, Predictions & Best Bets for Monday Night Football, 10/13
Having seen the Bills fall in this past Sunday Night Football game as the last remaining undefeated team this year was quite the shock, especially as 8.5-point favorites at home against a division rival in the New England Patriots. Now, in front of the entire world watching again, we expect them to bounce back.
That said, they will be on the road and taking on a Falcons team that is not only coming off a big win, but also coming off their bye week. Even still, Atlanta’s defensive front seven is what has carried them, but Buffalo’s offensive line ranks first in pass block win rate and fourth in run block win rate.
Such a major strength, of course, plays a primary role in the top target from our NFL best bets for Monday Night Football.Â

Monday Night Football Prediction for Bills vs. Falcons
Again, for just an outright victory, we don’t see how to anticipate anything but a Bills win given the wake-up call that they just got. That’s not to say that shutting down Bijan Robinson is an easy task, and for what it’s worth, Buffalo is just 1-3-1 against the spread in their last five games against Atlanta.
At the same time, it’s not as if these interconference teams meet very often. You could then consider that more of a wash than anything, but at the end of the day, the Falcons have simply been too inconsistent with big wins AND losses like a 30-0 shutout to the Carolina Panthers.
If they are going to pull off the upset in front of their home crowd, they’re going to need to do what the Pats did this past Sunday - win the turnover battle. It was the first time that Buffalo lost it in nearly 30 games, hence their dominance over that time frame. That’s sure to have plenty of NFL picks on Josh Allen, but we’re focused on the guy next to him in the backfield.

Bills vs. Falcons Best Bet for NFL Week 6: James Cook 50+ Rush Yards & Anytime TD (Add Player Pick ‘Ems at Sleeper)
Since they don’t often get the love that they deserve, we’ll reiterate that our NFL best bets for Monday Night Football are in large part thanks to the Bills' offensive line. They have helped James Cook earn his four-year, $48 million extension this past offseason, rushing for 450 yards and five TDs so far this year.
That includes three straight games with 108+ yards and at least one TD prior to the SNF loss. His lesser performance is best explained by New England’s third-best run stop win rate, something that the Falcons do not have. It’s also how the Panthers cruised through Atlanta, scoring two rushing TDs en route to 30 points.
This is a season in which Josh Allen finally doesn’t have to be the leading rusher on a weekly basis like he was on Sunday, so it’s time to lean on James Cook to get them back in the win column. Even if you want to take his normal rushing yards prop (this is an alternate line) or pay the juice for an anytime TD, they’re all part of our NFL predictions for this week.
The combo we have here served us well last weekend, so let’s keep it rolling with the top pick from our NFL best bets for Monday Night Football on James Cook to have 50+ rushing yards & an anytime TD (use his Sleeper projections as well).
