NFL Picks, Predictions & Best Bets for Week 15 Sunday, 12/14

With each and every team taking the field, there is so much to love as we head towards the Christmas Day slate (three Thursday games just like Thanksgiving!) and the overall home stretch of the regular season. Is the Kansas City Chiefs' dynasty officially over? Are we destined for a Patriots vs. Rams Super Bowl rematch?

There is so much intrigue moving forward, but we can’t look too far beyond our NFL best bets for Week 15 just yet. After all, we’ve got some incredible matchups, including divisional rivalries like Ravens vs. Bengals, Chargers vs. Chiefs, Bills vs. Patriots, Commanders vs. Giants….and that’s just the 1 PM ET slate!

NFL Week 15 Predictions: Sunday, December 14th

As for the afternoon slate, we don’t have the same laundry list of divisional rivalries (only Panthers vs. Saints), but with matchups like Packers vs. Broncos and Lions vs. Rams, those are clashes between teams who look to be playoff-bound. Admittedly, there are games that we almost knew ahead of time wouldn’t be part of our NFL best bets for Week 15.

Games like Browns vs. Bears, Raiders vs. Eagles, Jets vs. Jaguars, Cardinals vs. Texans, and Titans vs. 49ers are ones that are quite one-sided in terms of postseason aspirations, but of course, playing spoiler is also a great feeling for teams as well. One of the most interesting matchups leads up to Vikings vs. Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.

That would be Colts vs. Seahawks. What could have once been considered a potential Super Bowl preview, Indy has seemingly fallen off a cliff after their latest bad news of a torn Achilles for Daniel Jones. Even still, they have a stud in Jonathan Taylor, so we’re going to stay away from that game when it comes to our NFL best bets for Week 15.

Ravens vs. Bengals Best Bet: Ja'Marr Chase Anytime TD (-185 at Novig)

AFC North rivalries in December will always get us excited, especially this one. Both teams are coming off losses, which could ultimately keep them out of the playoffs entirely, despite being led by superstars like Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow. Well, one of those stud QBs is who we're relying on for the first of our NFL best bets for Week 15.

Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase have had a connection dating back to their days at LSU together, and have ALWAYS torched the Ravens. That’s no exaggeration - since his rookie year, Ja'Marr Chase has played Baltimore nine times and has had 10+ targets in eight of them (seven and eight in the others).

Sure, targets are nice, but that’s not enough to make this part of our NFL best bets for Week 15. Well, when he played the Ravens last year, he had FIVE total touchdowns - two in the first meeting with 193 yards and three in the second with 264 yards. Given that his first-ever game saw him go for 201 yards and a TD, the writing was always on the wall.

We know that Tee Higgins eats up some targets, but after he scored twice against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, if nothing else, Chase is “due” for his time in the painted grass. In fact, he's also back in concussion protocol as well. With such a great matchup, we’re kicking off our NFL best bets for Week 15 with Ja'Marr Chase anytime TD (-185 at Novig). 

 

 

 

Lions vs. Rams Best Bet: Davante Adams Anytime TD (-180 at Novig)

It’s not another divisional rival, and we’ll have to wait until the late-afternoon slate, but it’s a matchup that very well could be a potential NFC Championship Game preview. It also means that we have a bit of a theme to our NFL best bets for Week 15, as we’ve got another superstar WR finding the endzone.

This one is even last surprising, as Davante Adams had scored in six straight games prior to this past Sunday, with 11 in total in those six games! His fade threat from inside the five-yard line is unmatched, so it’s no surprise that he leads the NFL in redzone targets among the WR position.

His streak was snapped against the Arizona Cardinals, but after Puka Nacua AND Blake Corum each scored TWICE, the Rams could take their foot off the gas with a 45-10 lead. Oh yeah, and the Lions side of this is also perfect - their secondary has been plagued with injuries all season, most recently with Brian Branch.

Kerby Joseph has also been missing games recently, and with Detroit having the NFL’s third-best defensive EPA per rush, the air is simply how to attack them. That’s great news for MVP-hopeful Matthew Stafford, so we’re adding to our NFL best bets for Week 15 with Davante Adams anytime TD (-180 at Novig).
