NFL Week 14 wraps up with a Monday Night Football double-header as the Tennessee Titans face the Miami Dolphins and the New York Giants host the Green Bay Packers. For whatever reason, the NFL has decided that both games will kick off at the same time, so be sure you’ve got your devices all set and your streaming services in order. As for your football bets, well, we need to dive in a little deeper as both games present some very interesting scenarios and match-ups. This week was a good one for those taking the points as dogs have gone 8-4-1 against the spread so far and we’ve got some decent-sized spreads to look at tonight. Heck, six underdogs won outright so that always builds some excitement. And given the betting trends for the under, we also have some intriguing game totals. NFL Monday Night Football Best Bets: Tennessee Titans vs Miami Dolphins 

The Spread: Dolphins -14

There is nothing I hate more than laying double-digit points in the NFL. Even a team like Miami, an offensive juggernaut, I routinely hesitate. But this is actually the fourth time the Fins have been favored by double-digit points this season with the first three games also coming at home. Miami is 2-1 ATS in those games with the one loss coming in Week 11. The Dolphins won the game, though. They just didn’t cover against the Raiders. Meanwhile, the Titans are 5-7 against the spread this season but 1-5 ATS on the road. So there’s the data for those who like that sort of stuff. I do, but this was a game I was looking at all week and haven’t wavered. My analysis tells me the Dolphins 1-2 punch on the ground, Raheem Mostert and rookie De’Von Achane, will work over the Tennessee defensive line for a little, this opening up some play-action against one of the worst secondaries in football. The Titans won’t roll over, but I’m not sure they make it a game.

The Total: 45

The under is 30-11 in prime-time games this season and 13-2 on Monday nights. The data is all pushing us towards the under, but have we looked and seen what Miami’s offense has done to some of the worst secondaries in football? After watching then hang another 45 points on Washington last week and 34 on the Jets defense the week before, it’s difficult to not see them posting similar totals against the Titans. On top of that, I think the Titans have the ability to score anywhere from 14-20 points against Miami. Usually a run-heavy team like Tennessee grinds out the clock and keeps the score down, but Mimi scores so quickly and so often, I’ll follow the lead the over has (7-5) in Dolphins games this season.
