2026 Fantasy Football Week 4 IDP Report: Risers, Waiver Wire & Matchups

Last week gave us a few big performances from IDPs new to the scene. There are also IDPs that have proven to be consistent, a list of injuries (listed at the end of the IDP Report), and a select few are making an early case for Defensive Player of the Year. Let’s take a look back at last week’s IDP Report before getting into week 4 of the fantasy football season.

• DL Zaven Collins (ARI) 3 solo tackles, 2 passes defended
• LB Jaishawn Barham (DAL) 4 solo tackles, 3 assisted tackles, 2 tackles for loss
• DB Marcus Allen (TEN) 4 solo tackles, 2 assisted tackles, 2 tackles for loss

Grade: B. All three players put up 11.50 or more points in what is truly a deep dive into IDP rosters. The tackle volume was a solid floor, and the statistics outside of tackles kept their point total high. But the lack of a big play kept the IDPs from reaching their fantasy football ceiling. 

Fantasy Football IDP Risers Week 4

Defensive Lineman (DL/LB) Tuli Tuipulotu, Los Angeles Chargers.

Tuli Tuipulotu is a familiar name amongst fantasy football managers. However, most do not have as much patience for IDPs as they do for their offensive counterparts. Tuipulotu recorded just 1 assisted tackle and 1 QB hit in week 2. Due to that, he was rostered in less than 40% of leagues and started in only 23%.

Those 23% were rewarded with 6 combined tackles, 2 QB hits, 1.5 sacks, and 1 tackle for loss. The Los Angeles Chargers play against the Seattle Seahawks this week, and T. Tuipulotu will play against an immobile quarterback in Sam Darnold. He’s rising up the board and should be rostered in more leagues. Get him on your fantasy football roster with a small amount of Week 4 FAAB.

Linebacker (LB) Quay Walker, Las Vegas Raiders. 

Quay Walker has a combined 24 tackles in three games this season. Those are outstanding numbers, but he’s being outshined by his former Georgia Bulldog teammate… but we will discuss Nakobe Dean later.

Walker is available in 62% of leagues and has a solid floor. He is rising up the board due to his consistent play in a scheme that he is benefiting from. The Las Vegas Raiders host the Kansas City Chiefs and their top-five rushing attack. Look for Walker to have several opportunities to tackle Kenneth Walker and company in Week 4. 

Defensive Back (DB) Amik Robertson, Washington Commanders. 

Amik Robertson is an underrated cornerback for the Washington Commanders. He is in his first year with the team and is fitting into Head Coach Dan Quinn’s defensive scheme. He predominantly plays at wide corner, but has 10 snaps in the box and 6 on the defensive line. 

Due to Washington playing zone predominantly, Robertson is set up to have more tackles than a traditional man-on-man defensive back. Washington is playing in London against the Indianapolis Colts in an early (for us in the USA) Sunday game. Daniel Jones has thrown an interception in every game this season and recorded 3 fumbles last week. There is big play potential for this IDP in Week 4. For managers in fantasy football leagues with deep benches, grab this riser before he gets noticed by others.

Fantasy Football Week 4 IDP Waiver Wire Targets

Mason Graham, Defensive Lineman, Cleveland Browns (5% ownership +/-) 

The 2025 fifth-overall pick, Mason Graham, caught a lot of flak from the fans of the team that drafted him. There was literally an entire draft of people they would have rather had, but great interior linemen are as rare as young people at a nudist beach. And good GMs know that talent like Graham’s is rare. Although it took him some time, Graham is quickly making Cleveland Browns fans forget about another IDP with MG for initials. 

Graham has 15 combined tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 5 QB hits, and 4.0 sacks. He has sacked the quarterback in three consecutive contests and could be a top-ten IDP this week. He plays old-man Aaron Rodgers on a short week, and recovery favors youth. Get him off the Week 4 waiver wire, and put him in your fantasy football lineups. 

Kain Medrano, Linebacker, Washington Commanders (0% ownership +/-) 

There was a terrible neck fracture for Washington linebacker Leo Chenal in last week’s game. Fortunately, he is moving his extremities, and Fantasy Alarm hopes for 100% recovery. Football is a brutal game that moves forward as soon as the injured player is off the field, which leads to opportunity. And opportunity does not come by often.

Medrano made the most of his chance, with a rare IDP touchdown that was the difference in the game. He recorded 5 combined tackles, 1 QB Hit, and a 50-yard “pick-six”. Frankie Luvu could come back from injury this week, but he didn’t practice last week. On top of that, the Commanders play in London. Medrano will see more snaps going forward and is worth a waiver addition in week 4. 

Christian Izien, Defensive Back, Detroit Lions (0% ownership +/-)

Christian Izien is an IDP that is barely known and available in almost every fantasy football league. He played 71 snaps for the Detroit Lions last week, and 27 were in the box. He also played 25 at free safety, 9 at slot, 3 on the defensive line, and 6 on kick coverage. He will continue to be an important player for the Lions as they deal with numerous injuries in their secondary.

Izine earned 11 combined tackles last week, 9 of which were solo. He also recorded 3 tackles for loss and one pass defended. He has tremendous upside and can be added for Week 4 with little to no FAAB. Izine could be the steal of the season, and is an IDP that must be rostered.

NFL Week 4 IDP Matchups To Capitalize On

Atlanta Falcons vs New Orleans Saints Monday 8:15 PM ET

Chase Young, Defensive Line, NO Saints

Every game is special across the NFL, but some games have more relevance than others. The Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints are bitter rivals, which is enough to get any coach, player, or fan to turn their amp to level “11”. However, Monday Night Football in the Big Easy will be recognized as the 20th anniversary since the Saints reopened their stadium after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. It will be a loud, proud, sad, and if the Saints win… happy moment.

Chase Young doesn’t need a narrative to have a great fantasy football score. The IDP has recorded 3.5 sacks in the past two weeks. He also has 5 QB hits and 3 tackles for loss. Michael Penix looked great against the no-pressure Packers, but the Saints have a better offense and, more importantly, a better defensive line. 

There isn’t another stadium like Caesars Superdome; it has hosted 8 Super Bowls… the most of any venue. There isn’t a city like New Orleans, and when those two come together, “The Dome” is the rowdiest place on the planet. Look for Young to make a play on what will be an emotional day at 1500 Sugar Bowl Drive, New Orleans, Louisiana.  

Kansas City Chiefs vs Las Vegas Raiders, Sunday 4:25 PM ET

Nakobe Dean, Linebacker, LV Raiders

Quay Walker is having a good year by all metrics, but his teammate Nakobe Dean is having a great year. Neigh, a fantastic year. He is rostered in over 80% of leagues, but started in only 71%... In week 4, he should be started in all fantasy football formats, including one-time use leagues. 

The first-year Las Vegas Raider is teamed up with his college teammate, and they are back to dominating the field. The Raiders are undefeated this season, and Dean & Walker went 14-1 their senior year together. Dean recorded 11 solo tackles last week and has 27 combined tackles this season. 

With Kenneth Walker and the Kansas City Chiefs coming to town, there will be plenty of tackling opportunities. The Chiefs have the fifth most rushing yards in the NFL, Travis Kelce has been active, and Dean should be at the forefront of tackling both Walker and Kelce. Dean has 108 coverage snaps in addition to stuffing the gaps, and the data indicates a 15+ tackle game is possible. This division rivalry will be intense, and Dean should continue his All-Pro pace. He is a must-start in week 4.

Arizona Cardinals vs New York Giants 1:00 PM ET

Budda Baker, Defensive Back, ARI Cardinals

Budda Baker is not the elite IDP stud he once was, and the Cardinals have added several playmakers on defense. However, Baker is still a great safety who plays mostly in the box. He has 85 box snaps, 58 at free safety, 28 in the slot, 7 on the defensive line, and 1 at wide cornerback.

Baker is still utilized to either shut down a player or take advantage of a mismatch. He will be able to take advantage of Jameis Winston’s inaccurate passes and come up to tackle running back Cam Skattebo. He has 20 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 1 pass defended so far this season.  Baker is a true, do-it-all IDP and has a great match-up opportunity against the New York Giants. Although he recorded just 1 solo tackle and 3 assisted tackles last week, play him with confidence in Week 4.
