Best Underdog Fantasy NBA Pick'em Plays Today, 2/13

Caleb Martin DFS Picks: SF, Miami Heat

The Heat are shorthanded right now, missing Jimmy Butler, Terry Rozier and Josh Richardson. Tonight, they draw a matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks who continue to struggle on the defensive end of the floor and here we have Caleb Martin who is starting and set to play big minutes.

More importantly, a third of those big minutes come in the first quarter where he doesn't come off the floor. Yes, we are looking at his first quarter point projection here today which Underdog has set at three points. Against the Celtics, we saw Martin score eight first quarter points which is more than enough.

Pick: Higher than 3.0 1Q Points

Jerami Grant DFS Picks: PF, Portland Trail Blazers

Sometimes you have to run with the recent trends and right now those trends are suggesting that the rebound projection for Jerami Grant tonight is too low. The Blazers forward is averaging 4.6 rebounds per game over his last 10 games. His rebound projection for tonight is set at 3.5 rebounds, a total he has finished higher than in seven of those last 10 contests.

Yes, tonight he faces the Timberwolves, a team with Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns, both of whom are good rebounders. But, that is all the more reason that Portland will need Grant to be aggressive on the glass here tonight.

Pick: Higher than 3.5 Rebounds

Jalen Duren DFS Picks: C, Detroit Pistons

I am very aware of the risks here, ok? Jalen Duren is a foul-happy center and tonight he draws Anthony Davis. I'm also very aware that he is an elite rebounder and given the lineups the Pistons run out there, the rest of the team is more than OK with him pulling down the boards. His only real competition for rebounds is rookie Ausar Thompson who is also just as likely to pick up four fouls in four minutes as he is four rebounds.

So, risks understood, let us look at the stats, shall we? The rebound projection for Duren is set at 12 for tonight's game against the Lakers. Duren has finished with at least 12 rebounds in seven of the last 10 games while finishing with more than 12 rebounds in six of the last eight. For February, Duren is averaging 33.6 minutes per game. On the season, when playing at least 33 minutes we've seen Duren finish with at least 12 rebounds in 11 of 12 contests.

Hopefully, the Pistons can hang around long enough in this game for Duren to get the run we need for him to hit this projection tonight.

Pick: Higher than 12.0 Rebounds
