Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL

(DK CPT - $19,200, UTIL - $12,800 / FD MVP - $24,900, UTIL - $16,600)

The chalk captain play of the night will obviously be Giannis Antetokounmpo. He has a 38.2% USG this year and is averaging north of 1.7 FP/min. He played 32 minutes last game, the most since returning from his calf injury.

Stephen Curry, GSW

(DK CPT - $16,200, UTIL - $10,800 / FD MVP - $21,300, UTIL - $14,200)

Despite being 37 years old, Stephen Curry is still the center of everything the Warriors do, and his ceiling is still elite. He has a robust 32.3% USG and 1.34 DKP/min, and 1.27 FDP/min. The Bucks are a bottom-half of the league defense.

Kevin Porter, MIL

(DK CPT - $15,300, UTIL - $10,200 / FD MVP - $19,500, UTIL - $13,000)

It’s important to note the Kevin Porter numbers with Giannis Antetokounmpo because that’s where we are. It’s only an 18% USG, but he’s still averaging 1.1 FP/min in the 178 minutes he’s shared the floor with Antetokounmpo.

Jimmy Butler, GSW

(DK CPT - $14,400, UTIL - $9,600 / FD MVP - $18,300, UTIL - $12,200)

A contrarian route to the captain’s spot tonight is Jimmy Butler. Butler isn’t always aggressive offensively, but he does have it in him when his team needs it. Butler is a good rebounding wing, too, and Milwaukee is 27th in rebounding rate. Without Jonathan Kuminga this year, Butler has a 23% USG and averages 1.1 FP/min.

 

 

 

DFS Utility Picks

Ryan Rollins, MIL

(DK CPT - $14,700, UTIL - $9,800 / FD MVP - $12,600, UTIL - $8,400)

The production has been up and down with Giannis Antetokounmpo back on the floor, and with how aggressive he is defensively, Ryan Rollins is a candidate to pick up two quick fouls guarding Stephen Curry. He also just went for 50+ FP two games ago, so the ceiling is high.

Draymond Green, GSW

(DK CPT - $10,800, UTIL - $7,800 / FD MVP - $9,600, UTIL - $6,400)

If Draymond Green plays, he’s a fantastic mid-tier option except for the following. Might be ejected for arguing a call. Might be ejected for fighting with his coach. Might punch a teammate. Other than that, solid option if he makes it through an entire game.

Bobby Portis, MIL

(DK CPT - $10,200, UTIL - $6,800 / FD MVP - $7,800, UTIL - $5,200)

Very high fantasy-point scorer, but the minutes are what’re the most inconsistent for Bobby Portis. He has the second-highest USG on the team with Giannis Antetokounmpo, but is slated for low-20s minutes.

Brandin Podziemski, GSW

(DK CPT - $9,300, UTIL - $6,200 / FD MVP - $8,700, UTIL - $5,800)

There aren't many bench options in this game that play anywhere near the minutes Podziemski plays. Outside of the starters in this game, Podziemski will be on the floor the most. He’s a solid last piece in.

 

 

 

DFS Dart Throws

  • De’Anthony Melton, GSW (DK CPT - $6,300, UTIL - $4,200 / FD MVP - $6,000, UTIL - $4,000) – Melton is easily my favorite value play of the day. Easy click at the minutes he’s trending toward.
  • Kyle Kuzma, MIL (DK CPT - $7,200, UTIL - $4,800 / FD MVP - $6,600, UTIL - $4,400) – Might play 30 minutes, might play 18.
  • Gary Payton, GSW (DK CPT - $5,400, UTIL - $3,600 / FD MVP - $4,200, UTIL - $2,800) – 20+ DKP in two straight games. QUEST tag could lead to more time for Will Richard.
  • Will Richard, GSW (DK CPT - $3,300, UTIL - $2,200 / FD MVP - $3,900, UTIL - $2,600) – Typically, I’m OK punting a position if there’s a min salary player getting minutes, but I don’t think that player exists today. Richard’s as low as I’d go.
