DFS Captain / MVP Picks

Alex Sarr, WAS

(DK CPT - $15,000, UTIL - $10,000 / FD MVP - $21,000, UTIL - $14,000)

Sarr is the top FP/min player taking the floor for the Wizards tonight and comfortably has the highest ceiling. With Sabonis returning, many of the Kings are actually a bit overpriced, while Washington is shorthanded and more fairly priced despite being underdogs.

Russell Westbrook, SAC

(DK CPT - $16,500, UTIL - $11,000 / FD MVP - $19,200, UTIL - $12,800)

Westbrook is the Kings player who best fits the top lineup slot. Sabonis is returning to the lineup, which could drop the production of the other starters, but he is likely on a minutes restriction after not playing for two months. Westbrook leads the Kings in usage and assist rate, and Sabonis shouldn't have too big of an impact on his long rebound chances.

Kyshawn George, WAS

(DK CPT - $12,600, UTIL - $8,400 / FD MVP - $13,500, UTIL - $9,000)

George has surprisingly not seen much of a bump in production this season when taking players like McCollum, Kispert, Coulbaly, and Middleton off the floor. Despite that, he should play more than 30 minutes tonight and has a great chance to be one of the top producers on the slate.

DFS Utility Picks

Tre Johnson, WAS

(DK CPT - $9,000, UTIL - $6,000 / FD MVP - $8,100, UTIL - $5,400)

Johnson has seen a massive boost up to over 32% USG this season when playing without McCollum, Kispert, Coulibaly, Middleton, and Whitmore. It is only an 87-minute sample, but if he comes anywhere near that usage, he is too cheap. At minimum, he should start and have a chance to play 30 minutes, which makes him a great UTIL option. The potential usage rate also makes him an intriguing low-owned option for the top lineup spot.

Justin Champagnie, WAS

(DK CPT - $8,100, UTIL - $5,400 / FD MVP - $6,300, UTIL - $4,200)

Champagnie should start with Coulibaly and Middleton out, and he has a strong floor with several others also out. He is one of the safer options on the slate, and he even offers some upside given his low price tags. In 134 minutes with all the missing players tonight off the floor, he's averaged 1.0 FP/min this season.

Dennis Schroder, SAC

(DK CPT - $7,500, UTIL - $5,000 / FD MVP - $10,200, UTIL - $6,800)

Schroder returns from suspension tonight and should slot right back into a role with mid-20s minutes. His DK price puts him ahead of Champagnie and Carrington on this list, while the Wizards are preferred on FD with their lower prices over there.

Bub Carrington, WAS

(DK CPT - $9,900, UTIL - $6,600 / FD MVP - $6,000, UTIL - $4,000)

With Trae Young not yet available, plus Coulibaly and Middleton out, Carrington should draw the start. He has averaged 0.9 FP/min this season with those injured and traded players off the court this season. His FD price is especially appealing, but he is also very much in play on DK.
