Jaquez has fit right in with Milwaukee after coming over from Miami. He scored 22 points in the season opener in Washington, then added 19 points, 11 rebounds and five assists in Friday's loss to Chicago. That's two games, two comfortable clears of this line.
His baseline backs it up. Jaquez averaged 15.4 points in 75 games for the Heat last season, and his role in Milwaukee is even bigger. He's starting alongside Tyler Herro and Ryan Rollins, and the Bucks need his scoring with Giannis Antetokounmpo now in Miami.
The risk is the spread. Philadelphia is a 12.5-point favorite with a 234.5 total, and Milwaukee is on the second night of a back-to-back. Wiggins has been one of the best bargains in Atlanta's rotation. Oklahoma City traded him to the Hawks for two future second-round picks, and he's scored 16 points in 32 minutes in the opener and 19 points on 7-of-9 shooting in just 22 minutes in Friday's blowout of Charlotte.
The opportunity is the difference. Wiggins averaged 9.4 points in 21.8 minutes last season in a crowded Thunder rotation, and his playoff role nearly disappeared. In Atlanta, he was one of only two Hawks to play 30-plus minutes in the opener, and he's made three threes in each game.
Houston is a 1.5-point underdog in Atlanta with a total around 230.5, and both teams are on the second night of a back-to-back. A close game should keep Wiggins on the floor late, and the Rockets will be without Fred VanVleet, who isn't playing back-to-backs early this season.
