NBA Daily Fantasy Picks & Playbook: October 30, 2026
James Grande | @The_Real_Grande | DraftKings and FanDuel main slate
On Friday, we have an eight-game slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Players such as Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jayson Tatum, Cade Cunningham, and Cooper Flagg take the floor. We don't have any teams on a back-to-back abut there are plenty of injuries to run through in today's NBA DFS playbook.
Before actually diving into the meat and potatoes, welcome to the NBA DFS season. If this is your first time reading our column on NBA DFS picks, I just want to welcome you and give you a few tips and tricks on what you should be looking for each night.
- News outlets: reliable sources that give us injury news & starting lineups
- Pace of play: who's playing fast vs. who's playing slow. Which teams get a pace-up spot (more possessions) vs. pace-down (fewer possessions)
- Usage rates: is a percentage of how many plays that player is being used in

Each game shows the away team first. IND @ MIA carries the slate's top total. CHI @ BOS carries blowout risk. IND @ MIA has the best pace matchup on the slate. 2 games are also on the schedule but not on this DFS slate. Ranks are league-wide, 2025-26; pace rank 1 is fastest, and off and def rank 1 are best. Green marks a better DFS spot and red a worse one, so a weak defense shades green.
DraftKings vs FanDuel Price Differential
- Darius Garland is the 4th highest priced PG on DraftKings but 8th on FanDuel, so the better positional value is on FanDuel ($8,300 DK, $7,300 FD).
- Ayo Dosunmu is the 15th highest priced SG on DraftKings but 6th on FanDuel, so the better positional value is on DraftKings ($5,600 DK, $6,000 FD).
- Duncan Robinson is the 24th highest priced SG on DraftKings but 15th on FanDuel, so the better positional value is on DraftKings ($4,900 DK, $4,900 FD).

Each player is ranked by salary among every player in that site's file eligible at the position, including multi-position players (1 is the highest priced). Players are compared at a position they are eligible for on both sites; when they share more than one, the position with the bigger gap is shown. Rank Gap is how many spots apart the two ranks are; the greener the cell, the bigger the gap. Better Positional Value is the site where the player has the lower position rank (priced lower among players at the position), regardless of the raw salary, since the two sites use different salary scales.
Top Tier Core Plays
Giannis Antetokounmpo - PF · IND
It's VERY interesting to see the field not really on Antetokounmpo despite having the second-highest implied team total on the board. Antetokounmpo has a 34.2% USG and is averaging north of 1.6 FP/min and the Pacers rank 9th in pace, almost matching the Heat in that category, so this game should field a LOT of possessions. The 237.5 implied points leads the slate.
Jayson Tatum - SF/PF · BOS
Nobody in the “spend up” range is really getting any ownership and although Tatum's at the top of that list, 13% (as of now) is not a lot. The Celtics have nearly 130 points implied today after hanging 134 on the Bulls two games ago. Chicago is playing at the fastest pace in the league and happen to be 29th in defense as well. Dream spot for Tatum, we just need the game to stay close and that's risky.
Cade Cunningham - PG · DET
In 147 minutes without Jalen Duren this year, Cunningham has a 31.8% USG and is averaging 1.34 FP/min. It's a sneaky good spot considering the pace and defense. Brooklyn surprisingly ranks 8th in pace (DET is 30th) and 24th in DRtg to boot. Cunningham is a legitimate triple-double threat today.
Mid-Tier Core Plays
Scottie Barnes, RJ Barrett & Immanuel Quickley - SF/PF, SG & PG · TOR
Without Kawhi Leonard, the Raptors “Big 3” listed here have been fantastic and a lot of what they do center around them. They're 1-2-3 in FP/min, ranked Quickley (1.4 DK, 1.3 FD), Barnes (1.4 DK, 1.4 FD) & Barrett (1.26 DK, 1.24 FD). They also all have 28% USG rates or higher to boot. There's a LOT to like and they're all affordable.
Pascal Siakam & Andrew Nembhard - PF & PG/SG · IND
It's not a big enough sample this year, but dating back to last season, Pascal Siakam and Andrew Nembhard have been elite fantasy players without Tyrese Haliburton and T.J. McConnell. Without those two, both guys have played 1500+ minutes dating back to last year, and Siakam leads the team at nearly 1.3 FP/min and 30.9% USG and Nembhard is at 1.13 FP/min and a 25.3% USG.
Brandon Miller - SF · CHA
37.4%. That's Brandon Miller's usage rate heading into tonight's game. He's also been over 1.2 FP/min, which comes with his inability to make shots over his first few games. Miller has put up 50+ DKP in three straight and that doesn't mean he'll do it again, but it's a good spot to do so. Washington is 21st in DRtg this year.
Bam Adebayo - C · MIA
There was coach speak about getting Adebayo going and then guess what? He got going. He had a 30.1% USG and scored 24 points and 44+ DK & FDP. He's second in USG (22.1%) on the year and has twice put up 40+ DKP despite not having a great start to the campaign.
Paul Reed - C · DET
The only thing that has really gotten in Paul Reed's way while Jalen Duren has missed time is that he's been in constant foul trouble. When he stays out of foul trouble, he has a 40+ FP ceiling. He's been a 21% USG and 1.2 FP/min player this year without Duren while playing the second-most minutes on the team without him.
Paul George - SG/SF · BOS
PG has been the Celtics clear number two option thus far and the second-best fantasy scorer to boot. He's posted a 29.1% USG and 1.3 FP/min up to this point. The Bulls are number one in pace and rank 29th in defense. Dream spot and if this game can stay close, George could go crazy.
Value Tier Core Plays
Ayo Dosunmu, Jonathan Kuminga & Terrence Shannon Jr. - SG/SF, PF & SG/SF · MIN
The Wolves are incredibly interesting today because their prices didn't really move despite the fact that Anthony Edwards is out. Shannon Jr. leads the team in USG (w/o Edwards) at 31.8% and while Dosunmu is at 21.7% and Kuminga is 19.5%. Kuminga leads the three in FP/min at 1.24 while Shannon sits at 1.1 and Dosunmu's right around 1 FP/min. I'd be comfortable playing all three in the same lineup, too.
Davion Mitchell & Pelle Larsson - PG & SG/SF · MIA
It's been quite a good season for Mitchell and Larsson is coming on strong. Mitchell has put up 29+ DKP in every game this year while playing 33+ minutes in each game. He leads the team in potential assists at 13.2 per game too. Larsson has played 29+ minutes in four straight and 31+ in three straight. Larsson isn't the highest usage player, but he's been stuffing the stat sheet.
Dennis Schroder - PG · CHA
Upgraded to probable, Dennis Schroder is sitting at a reallllly good price point. On the year, he's played the second-most minutes for the Hornets while averaging 23.1% USG. Just because he struggled the last two games, it's OK, he's put up 30+ DKP twice this year. He has a nice floor/ceiling combination.
Ja'Kobe Walter & Collin Murray-Boyles - SG/SF & PF/C · TOR
Fouls have been really the only thing getting in either Walter or Murray-Boyles' way this season, especially the latter who is living in foul trouble. CMB is still well over 1 FP/min and is actually closing halves in which he's not in foul trouble in and should play a lot if he can stay on the floor. Walter also ran into foul trouble last game and still played 28 minutes in a blowout without playing the final five minutes of the game. Walter, without Leonard, is nearly sitting at 1.2 FP/min this year.
Mitchell Robinson - C · BOS
I like Mitchell Robinson and I like that the Celtics are comfortable with giving him 25 minutes like they did last game. Robinson hasn't had the pop game yet, he's an elite rebounder and defender and those games are coming. The pop game in that regard is coming. He's been an elite FP/min player his whole career and I'm not going to stop thinking that after a four-game sample.
