Point Guard

Kyle Lowry has been on an absolute roll recently and if you’ve been missing out, it’s not too late. Tonight’s game against the Bucks should be one of the higher scoring games of the night and will likely remain close.

Deron Williams will likely slide a bit under the radar, after a poor performance against the Rockets. He’s going to 35 minutes or so and he’s priced under $6,000. Oh yeah, he also playing the Nuggets who can’t stop a PG to save their lives.

Patrick Beverley has been a pleasant surprise since returning from an injury. He’s scored at least 30 fantasy points in four of his last five games and he’s under $5,000. Pat Bev typically struggles with consistency so he may be better suited for tournaments despite a great matchup against the Nets.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is still under $10,000 and he’s the perfect GPP candidate. He can drop 60-70 fantasy points on any given night, and the Bucks will need him to be all over the place if they hope to stay close with a very solid Raptors team.

Shooting Guard

Wesley Matthews is hot right now and while that could end tonight, his price is too low. Denver doesn’t just struggle against PGs, they can’t stop SGs either. Matthews needs to be in consideration everywhere, but feel free to fade him in some tournament lineups.

James Harden is a bit too expensive for my liking in tournaments. He’s going to be pretty tough to fade in cash games against a Nets team that is pathetic on defense. Harden is not a lock for cash games by any means, but if more value opens up he would become more appealing.

Rodney Stuckey played 27 minutes two games in a row and he’s a sneaky value play. He was awful in his last game but I think he should be able to hit value at his very cheap price.

Sean Kilpatrick warrants consideration in tournaments. The Houston vs. Brooklyn game is by far the highest total of the night at 228 and you’ll want some exposure to this one. Kilpatrick should be busy tonight, so give him a look.

Small Forward

The SF position is fairly ugly and I’ll be looking to avoid the position on DK if possible. Harrison Barnes appears to be a solid play, but he doesn’t have much upside. Barnes will likely score in the 27-33 range, but that’s not something to get too excited about. He’s worth considering in cash games against the Nuggets.

Trevor Ariza will likely play a large role in the inevitable three-point barrage that’ll occur against the Nets tonight. Houston could blow Brooklyn out by the third quarter and that makes all players in that game a bit riskier. Luckily, the total is high enough where guys like Ariza should be able to hit or exceed value even if they lose a couple of minutes.

Paul George is coming off a monster performance against the Blazers and he’s been playing very well lately. He’s an option in every format and George should lead the Pacers in scoring against the Hornets.

Power Forward

DeMarcus Cousins will likely find his way onto every single lineup of mine. There are just some players that I can’t shy away from and DMC looks like he’ll be that guy tonight. The Lakers don’t have a single player on the roster capable of even slowing down Cousins and he’s under $11,000, so that’s a big plus.

Blake Griffin is also a very appealing option against a Blazers team that struggles to guard big men. In his last meeting with the Blazers, Griffin had an incredible 53 fantasy points in just 26 minutes! He’s coming off a day of rest and he needs to be in a couple of your lineups.

I keep getting drawn towards the Rockets and Nets game for obvious reasons. Trevor Booker has been a beast this season and very few expected this. Houston typically goes small, but Trevor Booker shouldn’t be effected in a major way. Consider him in GPPs.

If you’re looking for a solid option as a value play, but would rather have safety over upside, look no further than Patrick Patterson. Pat Pat has been fairly solid thus far and he should hit 5x. Value.

Center

Marcin Gortat has been one of the more consistent big men in 2016. He’s scored below 25 fantasy points just once over his last 15 games. He rarely has a monster game so he’s more of a cash option, but you can’t ignore Gortat’s consistency.

Greg Monroe is hitting value each and every night lately and that’s all while playing under 23 minutes per game. You really can’t play him in a tournament because there’s almost no chance he sees over 24 minutes. But at his cheap price, he’s a cash game option now that his role has solidified.

Mason Plumlee is worth considering in GPPs tonight against the Clippers. They’ll need his size and playmaking ability against a tough Clippers team and he should see around 30 minutes. Terry Stotts fiddles with Plumlee’s minutes quite frequently, but his upside is insanely high at $5,500.

If Ed Davis gets the start once again, he’ll be an interesting GPP value play. Davis has never been able to sustain a solid role with the Blazers unless there are injuries, so there’s a decent chance he plays 18-22 minutes despite getting the start.
