NBA Best Bets Today, 3/12: Picks, Predictions & Player Props - Wednesday

Jalen Duren covered his rebounding prop of over 11.5 rebounds, and did so in just 25 minutes. The Washington Wizards continue to allow the most rebounds by any organization, and Fantasy Alarm continues to profit from it. Trey Murphy was so close to covering his proposition, but he could not get off the hook. The sportsbook dialed in another perfect projection.
The three-team parlay portion of our NBA picks was not successful thanks to Zion Williamson’s triple double effort, which led to an upset from the New Orleans Pelicans over the Los Angeles Clippers. Tyrese Haliburton also made a four point play to help the Indiana Pacers sneak past the Milwaukee Bucks. The toss-up match proved to be just that.
NBA Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 3/12
The NBA is back to a full slate of games today, ten games take place with two nationally televised matches on ESPN.
Both of those games are mentioned in our NBA best bets today, but the Bet of the Night comes from a different match.
Clippers vs. Heat Prediction: Adebayo O19.5 Points (-115 on DraftKings) *2.0 U BET OF THE NIGHT
It has been a few months since Miami Heat starting center, Bam Adebayo has been mentioned for a betting prediction. Tonight we come back with a statement of two units down on the great scorer. Adebayo is constantly underrated but is truly the best USA born center in the Association.
He is averaging 34.5 minutes per game, but has played 38 or more in each of the Heat’s last four games. Adebayo is averaging 17.8 points per game but has scored more than his average in eight consecutive matches. He is only a 6’ 9” center but averages 10.0 rebounds per game and has earned 12 or more rebounds in four of his last five matches.
Adebayo and the Heat host the Los Angeles Clippers at the Kaseya Center with an 8:00 PM ET tipoff time. The Clippers are coming off of a tough loss at New Orleans last night, and will have their second tip-off in less than 24 hours. Former NBA player, and current Pelicans team announcer, Antonio Daniels often states those are the toughest matches, ‘back to backs while losing an hour traveling from west to east’.
Adebayo will have the luxury of being rested in addition to playing against a tired Ivica Zubac. Kawhi Leonard could also be out with rest which he is accustomed to doing in back to back matches. Adebayo is playing some of the best basketball of the season, and he has played all but two matches this year.
The last point of emphasis is the Heat are currently in ninth of the Eastern Conference and only have 18 games left in the regular season. They desperately need to stop their four game losing streak and get back into the seventh seed for a home game and potential match against the Boston Celtics.
Adebayo is the one constant on the team, and he will have a great match against Zubac and backups. Put two units on it at DraftKings and if you're a new customer, make sure to take advantage of Fantasy Alarm’s promotional offer.
Thunder vs. Celtics Prediction: Boston Money Line (-135 on Bet365)
The Boston Celtics host the Oklahoma City Thunder in a nationally televised match on ESPN. Tip off is at 7:30 PM ET and this is the featured match of the day. The odds initially shifted in favor of the Celtics as this line was at -140 when it came out, moved to -160, but now is at -135. Keep an eye out as this line is starting to jump up and down.
The Celtics are on a five game win streak and have momentum on their side. As of now Kristaps Porzingis is listed as doubtful with an illness, Jayson Tatum is listed as questionable with a knee, and Jaylen Brown is listed as probable with a knee injury. Boston has such a deep roster they almost have two starting rosters and are capable of resting players throughout the year.
The Celtics have scored 110 or more points in their five-game winning streak but will be playing against an offense capable of scoring too. The Thunder have Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to lead the way for offense, but may need someone to step up in the void of 2025 All-Star Jalen Williams’ injury. This will put pressure on the Thunder as they lose their do it all small forward.
The spread is in play for this match, but the smart bet is taking the moneyline. With one double unit suggested on Adebayo, put one unit on the next of our NBA best bets today, and expect the Celtics to win this match of powerhouses.
Best NBA Prop Bets & Other Picks Today, 3/12
There were two player props that were difficult to decide between.
So naturally they have been combined for a same game parlay (SGP).
Timberwolves vs. Nuggets Prediction: Watson & Jokic Each Over 0.5 Blocks (+210 SGP on Bet365)
The Minnesota Timberwolves travel to Ball Arena to take on the Denver Nuggets in the second match on ESPN. A rematch of last year’s seven game playoff battle, and both teams are currently in a seeding battle in the top eight.
Peyton Watson will once again see more playing time with Aaron Gordon listed as doubtful for today’s match. Swattin’ Watson earned his nickname for his stellar defensive play. He had two huge blocks in the match versus Oklahoma City and has an opportunity to earn another against a team that relies on its length.
Watson is one of the best weak side blockers in the Association and has an average of 1.2 blocks per game. Look for him to earn his average against Minnesota.
Nikola Jokic reminded everyone who the reigning MVP was in his most recent match. The do it all center played 40 minutes, earned 35 points, recorded 18 rebounds, and gave out 8 assists. He also recorded 1 block, and has four blocks in his last two games.
Jokic has over 100 steals this season and is fourth in that category. Against a taller lineup those passes will be scoring attempts, and Jokic should record one or more blocks tonight. He has an average of 0.7 blocks per game, and his lack of jumping ability should not prevent him from earning over his average.
The Nuggets are currently second in the Western Conference, but only 1.0 games ahead of both the Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies, and 2.0 games above the Houston Rockets. It is a four team battle for second place and the Nuggets can not let up if they wish to secure the best available positioning.
The Timberwolves are currently in seventh place and find themselves in a position battle as well. They are 0.5 games behind the Golden State Warriors, 1.5 games ahead of the Los Angeles Clippers, and 3.0 games ahead of the Sacramento Kings. Minnesota has been inconsistent all season, but are arguably playing their best basketball in March. They have won five in a row, and have almost made their way out of the play-in.
This game should see a lot of effort, and a lot of offense, which supports the prediction of this match. Put a unit on the SGP portion of our NBA best bets today, and if you are not a customer with Bet365, make sure to take advantage of the promotional code below.
