Jayson Tatum did not get off the hook as the sportsbooks are dialed in with their simulations. He earned nine rebounds in a blowout match against the Golden State Warriors. Nikola Vucevic fell victim to The Law of Averages, and only recorded 8 rebounds. He had only one rebound after the first quarter, and The Well was doomed to come up short.

Karl-Anthony Towns earned nowhere near 15 rebounds and has safely delivered on three consecutive under proposition bets. It was at near even odds and kept the damage to a minimum, but our NBA best bets Betting Bungalow needs a good sweeping…

NBA Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 1/21

There are six games on the second day of ‘Rivalry Week’, and it’s a great marketing strategy, but not necessarily true.

There are two nationally televised games on today, and one of them features our NBA best bets ‘Bet of the Night’.

76ers vs. Nuggets Prediction: Braun Ladder - O10.5 Points (-125 on Bet356), O15.5 Points (+325 on Bet356) *Bet of the Night

Christian Braun has quietly been an effective scorer and great starting player for the Denver Nuggets. The Fast Break Kid earned a double-double in Denver’s most recent match, and outside of Nuggets and Kansas Jayhawks fans. Tonight he hosts the Philadelphia 76ers who have not had great luck in Denver.

Braun has scored over twenty points in two of his last three games, and the Nuggets players are on the lookout for a streaking Braun. He is an efficient scorer and has dunked on several of the Association’s elite centers. The point line is extremely bizarre given how good the sportsbooks have been.

Braun is averaging 13.8 points per game but is set at 10.5 on the nationally televised match on TNT. Instead of a double unit hammer on the point line, Fantasy Alarm suggests a two step ladder. His line for five more points is +325, which is a massive jump.

Braun was not a great three point scorer to begin the season, but has made at least one attempt in six of his last ten matches. He has made two or more in four of those games, and he should have ample opportunity to score twenty or more points tonight. However we just need sixteen.

Put two units down on a two step ladder for the Fast Break Kid. Cheer on several points against the Washington Wizards, who allow 122.8 points per game.

76ers vs. Nuggets Prediction: Porter Jr. Ladder - O5.5 Rebounds (-130 on DraftKings), 7+ rebounds (+140 on DraftKings), 9+ Rebounds (+425 on DraftKings), 10+ Rebounds (+700 on DraftKings)

This is a proper ladder on a player Fantasy Alarm has a lot of faith in. Four units are suggested for Michael Porter Jr. to do what seven foot players do, grab rebounds. The fact that this line is set at 5.5 is insulting, and a major mistake by the sportsbooks.

The juiced up the over to -130, but still if a bettor wanted to put all of these units on the set line and ride out a good profit, go for it. However, opportunity favors the bold, and with an opportunity for a true sweep, this is a four prediction power punch with the data to back it. We would be foolish to pass it up.

Michael Porter Jr. is averaging 6.5 rebounds per game, and has eight or more rebounds in four of his last nine games. He has ten rebounds in two of his last nine games as well, and Porter Jr. has shown a tendency to be closer to the rim this season.

As someone who watches almost every Nuggets match, an unofficial statistic that can be stated is a player earns a double-double or triple double in over 55% of Denver’s games. Oftentimes it is more than one person. The Philadelphia 76ers allow 52.3 rebounds per game, but have been bad lately. 57.0 average over their last three games and they could be without Embiid and backup Andre Drummond too.

He has a great opportunity before him and we are putting four units down for him to make his way up the ladder tonight. An all-time ‘ladder match’ with Fantasy Alarm versus the Sportsbooks, and we are going to the top and grabbing the bag!

NBA Player Props & Other Picks Today, 1/21

Seven is the number of completeness, and Fantasy Alarm’s NBA best bets has one more player prediction to get the column to seven units.

Magic vs. Raptors Prediction: Barnes U5.5 Assists (-125 on Bet365)

Scottie Barnes has been on a tear lately and the money line has moved in favor of the Toronto Raptors since initially being released. However, Barnes did not have a great match the last time he played the Orlando Magic.

The Toronto Raptors host the Magic at the ScotiaBank Arena and actually have a chance to win. They have lost seven of their last ten, but Orlando lost the magic they had earlier this year, but magic is based on deception. Perhaps they were just deceiving us, because Paolo Banchero is back but they don’t look the same.

However they are still a good perimeter defensive team and the last time the Raptors played the Magic, Barnes had just three assists. Barnes also scored just 10 points in the Raptors most recent match, a game they lost. The expectation is for him to look to score early and often, limiting his assists tonight.

Barnes has 5 or less assists in six of his last ten matches, and should return below his average. Put a unit on Barnes under 5.5 assists in this match, expect him to drive and score more often tonight.
