We are back! Happy Wednesday everyone, hopefully you were able to watch the quarterfinals of the In-Season Tournament. It has been absolutely thrilling! Hopefully you were able to hedge the tournament and have at least one of the final four. Tonight’s games are for teams that did not qualify for the In-Season Tournament, and they are matched up by record. Some games are set pretty tight, and others where the higher ranked team is playing a lower ranked team, there are massive spreads. There are 11 NBA games tonight, and the Fantasy Alarm Best Bets scoured the lines for winning angles. The column today will feature a prop bet on the reigning MVP, which is the best bet of the night. There is also a visiting team with a chance to get a victory in the Western Conference showdown. Also a familiar proposition bet on a familiar player, in the Denver Nuggets at Los Angeles Clippers game, who is having an All-Star caliber year.

NBA Best Bets & Betting Picks December 6th

BET OF THE NIGHT

Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers – OVER 11.5 Rebounds (+105 MGM)

This bet started at +115 this morning, slipped to +110 when looking at the lines, and has gone down all the way to -105 on draftkings as the sharks make their moves. It would be wise for you to jump on it as soon as possible, before it moves to -120, or the rebounding amount is changed. 12 rebounds is more than capable for the reigning NBA MVP, Joel Embiid. He is averaging 11.2 per game, he has rested for over a week, and fully recovered from an illness that affected several Philadelphia 76ers players and staff. The Washington Wizards still allow the most rebounds to opposing teams, giving up  58.1 rebounds per game. The highest rebounding line for any Washington player is 6.5 for Daniel Gafford. It’s a great opportunity for J. Embiid to get back on track and put an end to Philadelphia’s two game losing streak. This could be third quarter cash, which is always nice.

STRAIGHT BET

Oklahoma City Thunder -2 (-110 DK)

The Oklahoma City Thunder are 13-6 on the season, and although hyped in the off season they still are not seen as the offensive powerhouse that they are. The Thunder average 119.7 points per game, which is fifth in the Association. They are a young, fast team that passes the ball extremely well and have a top ten defense that rarely gets mentioned. Oklahoma City allows only 111.4 points per game, leading to an 8.3 point differential. Although the Houston Rockets allow the second fewest points per game, 107.2, they do not have the offensive stars to keep up with the Thunder. The Rockets have the fifth lowest scoring team in the NBA with 110.1 per game. Although the Rockets play well at home, the Thunder have the younger team and should out play Houston tonight.

PROP BET

Michael Porter Jr., Denver Nuggets – OVER 2.5 Threes Made (-120 MGM)

Michael Porter Jr. (MPJ) was at the In-Season Tournament last night. He was courtside with the undefeated boxing legend, Floyd Mayweather Jr., watching the Phoenix Suns vs Los Angeles Lakers game. Tonight he will be back on that court but participating not watching, and it’s against a familiar opponent. The Los Angeles Clippers host the Denver Nuggets at 10:10 PM ET and the Nuggets played at Crypto.com Arena last Monday. They had what some called one of the best Denver Nuggets wins of all-time. MPJ had ten rebounds but not many points in that game, he should get back on track and make a few threes tonight against shorter forwards. Especially with Aaron Gordon projected to play, this will allow MPJ to play more on the outside. A great spot for a spot up shooter. This has been a very profitable bet over the past two years, and should be tonight.
