NBA Best Bets & Player Props December 11: Luka Doncic and Dallas Mavericks Take On Memphis Grizzlies
Welcome back everyone, it has been a few days since this column was dishing out winners, but we are back to the regular NBA schedule. Today is loaded with action, thirteen games take place tonight. The last article of this column was a complete sweep, and has the total unit count just above 6.5. The goal is to get to 40 units at the end of the NBA Season, and to get there we will need another successful day today. There is one nationally televised game, the Dallas Mavericks at Memphis Grizzlies on NBATV at 8:00 PM ET. There will be a double unit wager on that match, as well as a prop combined into a parlay with another prop bet. There is also a proposition bet on the Washington Wizards vs Philadelphia 76ers match. The interesting part is neither of those bets are on the star of the team, and the lines from the sportsbooks should allow for a profitable day.
NBA Best Bets & Betting Picks December 11th
NBA Bet of the Night
Dallas Mavericks -1.5 (BetMGM) – 2 UNITS
The Dallas Mavericks are playing the Memphis Grizzlies on NBATV tonight and it will be their first of back-to-back games. The Mavericks are 13-8 and the Memphis Grizzlies 6-15 and each team has had two full days of rest. Despite that Dallas will be without Kyrie Irving, Josh Green, and Grant Williams who are starters. Max Kleber, a serviceable backup, will not be playing also. However they will still have Luka Doncic, Tim Hardaway, Dereck Lively II and Seth Curry. The backups of Dallas have played several minutes together and should have enough rhythm to beat a Memphis team that has never found their rhythm. L. Doncic’s numbers have improved since K. Irving has been out with a heel contusion, and he should lead this team to another victory.
NBA Prop Bet
Nicolas Batum, Philadelphia 76ers – OVER 4.5 Rebounds (-115 BetMGM)
Nicolas Batum may have not been initially thrilled to be shifted from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Philadelphia 76ers, but he is performing well for the 14-7 76ers. Philadelphia is up against the Washington Wizards who have been a staple for betting against in this column. The Wizards allow the most rebounds to opposing teams, and have played the Wizards just five days ago. The 76ers defeated Washington by 5 points, and N. Batum earned six rebounds. Joel Embiid is listed as questionable with an illness and could play fewer minutes. This would allow Batum, the starting power forward, to get more rebounds. He has gone over this line in three of his last five games and has a wonderful opportunity to do it again.
NBA Parlay Bet
Dereck Lively II, Dallas Mavericks – OVER 7.5 Points & Coby White, Chicago Bulls – OVER 19.5 Points (+227 BetMGM)
This is the rare combination of a proposition parlay. The reason being, they both feel good on the over and instead of spitting units on a single, which is okay, the payoff to the risk is worth it. Dereck Lively II has gone over this line in three straight games, and without Kleber, Jones, and Williams, Lively II will be asked to score more, in addition to playing more minutes. He should make four buckets or get free throws against an aggressive defense.
Coby White has really taken off in the absence of teammate Zach Lavine. He has gone over this line in three of his last four games, and four of his last six. In the two games he did not go over, he earned nineteen, losing on the hook. The Milwaukee Bucks allow the second most points to guards in the NBA, and they have fully shifted from a defensive team to an offensive. C. White should thrive again against the lackluster Bucks and get twenty plus points tonight.
