Timberwolves vs. Warriors Picks & Odds: NBA Playoffs Game 4, Today 5/12
For the second straight game, and the first one on the road, the Minnesota Timberwolves were able to take advantage of the Golden State Warriors being without Stephen Curry. They’ll look to continue doing so tonight and take a commanding 3-1 series lead before heading back home, and we’ve got our best Timberwolves vs. Warriors predictions for Game 4.
We’ve also got another best bet from our Timberwolves vs. Warriors picks to share with you, and we’ll also include a guaranteed PrizePicks Fantasy welcome bonus!Â
Timberwolves vs. Warriors Predictions For Tonight's NBA Playoffs Game 4, 5/12
After getting called out by head coach Chris Finch following Game 1’s loss, Anthony Edwards has been out to prove that he always brings the energy. Of course, the Warriors being without Stephen Curry is certainly a massive factor, but it never hurts Minnesota to see Edwards go for 36 points.
Edwards stole the show with 28 of those 36 coming in the second half, and we’ve got more to come in terms of coming up clutch. That said, this was still an extremely competitive game. In fact, Golden State looked to have a very good opportunity to steal with his game without Curry on the court.
However, they faltered in the last eight minutes or so of the game, as they failed to eclipse 100 points yet again. Although he’s not their top scoring option, Draymond Green fouling out with more than four minutes to go didn’t help.
It’s going to be another difficult game without Stephen Curry, but we’ve still found an approach for the best bet from our Timberwolves vs. Warriors predictions.Â

Minnesota Timberwolves: Coming Up Clutch
As promised - more regarding how the Timberwolves came up clutch. It wasn’t just Anthony Edwards setting a franchise record with his fourth playoff half scoring 25+ points, either. We also saw Julius Randle record his first-ever postseason triple-double to the tune of 24 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds.
The New York Knicks would have loved to have him back earlier on Saturday, and that day wasn’t the only one proving that Minnesota has been clutch. In clutch time these playoffs, the Timberwolves are outscoring opponents 45-16 on 61% shooting while holding opponents to just 25% shooting.
Golden State Warriors: Kuminga Carries His Weight
Before we get that far, since we’ve already noted a few Golden State stars, we’d be remiss if we didn’t give Jonathan Kuminga some love. He was thrust into the spotlight last series with the Jimmy Butler injury, and he’s put in the same spot again with the more recent Stephen Curry hamstring injury.
Well, it’s safe to say that he answered the bell in Game 3, even though it ended in a loss. Kuminga was the perfect partner in crime with Jimmy Butler, as he nearly matched him with 30 points (Jimmy had 33). It was a career playoff high, and with Minnesota also having a bigger lineup, expect just as much Jonathan Kuminga in Game 4 tonight.

Timberwolves vs. Warriors Best Bet: Brandin Podziemski Over 10.5 Points (Use His Player Pick At PrizePicks)
With so many stars like Anthony Edwards and Jimmy Butler, just to name a couple on the court, player props are sure to be a popular option when it comes to Timberwolves vs. Warriors picks. Well, we’re partially following that narrative.
We’re going with a player prop, but not one for one of the household names in this series. While it may be a tough sell, let’s not forget Game 2. We targeted Jaden McDaniels to go over 12.5 points, and he came through relatively easily with 16 points. Now it’s time to target a similar role player for Golden State.
With Stephen Curry remaining on the sideline, it’s the guards we’re focused on. As much as Buddy Hield made headlines in his electric two-game span earlier, we’re eyeing the perhaps even lesser-known Brandin Podziemski.
First and foremost, we know that the minutes will be there. He just recorded 39 minutes in Saturday’s Game 3, and even with Stephen Curry healthy, he’s averaged over 31 minutes on the court across this entire postseason. Similarly, we trust him to continue taking his chances - they just need to fall.
In this series alone, Podziemski has attempted 26 field goals and 13 three-pointers. Admittedly, he’s recorded double-digit points in just one of the three games, but he is always a threat to have a breakout performance. That’s exactly what we saw when he went for 26 points in the first round, which was also Golden State’s Game 4.
He loves playing at Chase Center, so with this possibly being their last chance to do so, we’re locking in Brandin Podziemski over 10.5 points (add his player pick to PrizePicks lineups) as the best bet from our Timberwolves vs. Warriors predictions.Â
