Well, it took four games, but the home team finally won a game in the 2025 Eastern Conference Finals. That now has the Indiana Pacers with a 3-1 lead over the New York Knicks, but they’ll now have to try and close them out on the road at Madison Square Garden. With such a pivotal game, we’ve got our best Pacers vs. Knicks predictions for Game 5 tonight.

You’ll also be able to add to the best bet from our Pacers vs. Knicks picks and a high-stakes Game 5 overall with an extremely high-value $1,500 BetMGM Sportsbook sign-up bonus.

Pacers vs. Knicks Predictions For NBA Playoffs ECF Game 5, 5/29

Right from the jump, Game 4 was exactly what the series was hyped up to be - a Tyrese Haliburton vs. Jalen Brunson show. There’s plenty to break down about the former, specifically given his historic performance, but overall, they had 20 and 16 points, respectively, at halftime.

If forced to target the Pacers vs. Knicks odds in terms of a winner specifically, New York can absolutely force this series back to Indiana with a Game 6 based on the mental toughness they’ve shown this postseason. At the same time, the Pacers have been so elite on the road in these playoffs - they’ve now won six straight outside of Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Therefore, our Pacers vs. Knicks predictions are going to focus elsewhere. However, we are going to stick with the standard markets after plenty of player props thus far.

Indiana Pacers: Tyrese Haliburton Stuffs The Stat Sheet

As mentioned, Tyrese Haliburton had a historic performance to lead the Pacers to a Game 4 victory. While it may have been just his second career triple-double, his 32 points, 15 assists, and 12 rebounds were more than just those big numbers. It was the smallest number that came along with them that made it so impressive.

Haliburton recorded ZERO turnovers, making him the first ever to record a postseason triple-double with no turnovers. It also doesn’t hurt to note that he also had four steals to boot, and it was a performance much needed. Haliburton needed to bounce back from a lackluster Game 3 in which he barely had more than a few points and assists in the first half.

New York Knicks: Stop Trying To Keep Pace With The Pacers

We also mentioned that New York has the ability to force a Game 6 in this series, but they need to stop trying to match what Indiana wants to do. The Pacers have already proven that they aren’t intimidated by Madison Square Garden, and for what it’s worth, they’re 11-0 this postseason in non-Game 3’s.

While that’s a rather unique way to look at it, the fact remains that they’ve been able to use their namesake - their pace - to bully the Knicks. Over the last 30 years, the Knicks have allowed 130+ points in the playoffs just three times. All three have come to the Pacers over the last two postseasons! So, it’s time to slow things down.

Pacers vs. Knicks Odds, Spreads, Total & Betting Lines

With the series shifting back to MSG, we expected New York to be clear favorites yet again, and you’ll see that with the latest Pacers vs. Knicks odds at BetMGM Sportsbook:

Pacers vs. Knicks Best Bet: Under 223.5 Points (-110 At BetMGM Sportsbook)

After sharing that the Knicks need to slow things down, we may have somewhat given away the best bet from our Pacers vs. Knicks picks. Regardless, the last time we stuck with the standard markets, we hit the New York Game 3 win at plus-money odds.

While these may not have that plus sign, it’s how the game script needs to go for the Knicks to keep their postseason and NBA Finals dreams alive. They tried to keep pace with Indiana right from the jump in Game 4, as we saw a combined 78 points in the first quarter alone. That’s simply not how they’re going to take down a high-flying offense.

We know this may be tough for some fans to back after seeing Game 4 go over the total by a whopping 32 points, but that’s nothing compared to Game 1. That overtime thriller went over by 52 points, and immediately following, we saw things regress to the mean.

Not only did each of the next two games of the series stay under the total, but Game 3 did so by 17.5 points. That’s a sweat-free pick, and even if this one isn’t quite that drastic of a difference, we expect a New York minute to be a very slow one tonight.

That should especially be the case if head coach Tom Thibodeau keeps Mitch Robinson in the starting five, as lighting up the scoreboard isn’t what he’s on the floor to do. It also doesn’t hurt to note that in the lone regular-season meeting between these teams at Madison Square Garden, that too stayed under the total.

Whether the series extends or not, we have the best bet from our Pacers vs. Knicks predictions on the under 223.5 points (-110 at BetMGM Sportsbook).

Pacers vs. Knicks Injury Report & Starting Lineup

Whether Thibs goes with Mitch Robinson or Josh Hart in the starting lineup is something we’ll have to wait to see, but as for Pacers vs. Knicks injury news, the big question mark heading into Game 4 was answered.

That was Indiana’s Aaron Nesmith, who didn’t look to have any ankle issues whatsoever. Although we’ll also monitor Karl-Anthony Towns banging knees multiple times, here are the expected Pacers vs. Knicks lineups for Game 5:
